$122 because if you add 55 + 67 you get 122 then you just add the dollar sign

Jordan has $122 dollars. I know because if you add 55 to 65 you get 120. Then add the last two from the 67 and get $122 dollars.

Lilit [14]

Take the Laplace transform of both sides:

L[y'' - 4y' + 8y] = L[δ(t - 1)]

I'll denote the Laplace transform of y = y(t) by Y = Y(s). Solve for Y :

(s²Y - s y(0) - y'(0)) - 4 (sY - y(0)) + 8Y = exp(-s) L[δ(t)]

s²Y - 4sY + 8Y = exp(-s)

(s² - 4s + 8) Y = exp(-s)

Y = exp(-s) / (s² - 4s + 8)

and complete the square in the denominator,

Y = exp(-s) / ((s - 2)^2 + 4)

Recall that

L⁻¹[F(s - c)] = exp(ct) f(t)

In order to apply this property, we multiply Y by exp(2)/exp(2), so that

Y = exp(-2) • exp(-s) exp(2) / ((s - 2)² + 4)

Y = exp(-2) • exp(-s + 2) / ((s - 2)² + 4)

Y = exp(-2) • exp(-(s - 2)) / ((s - 2)² + 4)

Then taking the inverse transform, we have

L⁻¹[Y] = exp(-2) L⁻¹[exp(-(s - 2)) / ((s - 2)² + 4)]

L⁻¹[Y] = exp(-2) exp(2t) L⁻¹[exp(-s) / (s² + 4)]

L⁻¹[Y] = exp(2t - 2) L⁻¹[exp(-s) / (s² + 4)]

Next, we recall another property,

L⁻¹[exp(-cs) F(s)] = u(t - c) f(t - c)

where F is the Laplace transform of f, and u(t) is the unit step function

u(t) = \begin{cases}1 & \text{if }t \ge 0 \\ 0 & \text{if }t < 0\end{cases}

To apply this property, we first identify c = 1 and F(s) = 1/(s² + 4), whose inverse transform is

L⁻¹[F(s)] = 1/2 L⁻¹[2/(s² + 2²)] = 1/2 sin(2t)

Then we find

L⁻¹[Y] = exp(2t - 2) u(t - 1) • 1/2 sin(2 (t - 1))

and so we end up with

y = 1/2 exp(2t - 2) u(t - 1) sin(2t - 2)

I need help I can’t cuaet understand this
Gwar [14]

Answer:

B, 140

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright so if you know to do volume this should be a breeze!

First off what you want to do is find the volume of the outside prism.

V=whl=4·5·8=160

160

Then find the smaller prisms volume.

V=whl=1·5·4=20

20

Minus the smaller from the bigger

160-20=140

The answers B!

What is the perimeter of the polygon? Do not round any side lengths. Please help me.
DanielleElmas [232]

The easiest way to do this is to plot the points. I used the pythagorean theorem for this one, too. Add the side lengths to get the perimeter: 5 + 5 + 5 + 3 + √40 = 24.32455532 units or just 24 units.

A polygon has the following coordinates: A(3,1), B(5,3), C(2,5), D(-1,5), E(-4,3), F(-2,1). Find the length of DC.
nlexa [21]

To find the length of a line given two points, we are going to use the distance formula, which is defined below:

D = \sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

((x_1, y_1) and (x_2, y_2) are the two points)

The points in this problem are (2, 5) and (-1, 5). We can find the distance of DC by substituting these values into the distance formula and simplifying, as shown below:

D = \sqrt{(-1 - 2)^2 + (5 - 5)^2

  • Substitute values into formula

D = \sqrt{(-3)^2}

  • Combine like terms and then simplify 0^2 to 0

D = \sqrt{9}

  • Compute (-3)^2 = 9

D = 3

  • Compute \sqrt{9} = 3

The length of DC is 3.
