What are the water soluble vitamins and what are the fat soluble vitamins? Which ones must be part of your daily diet and why?

A,D,E, and K are fat soluble vitamins. The rest are water-soluble. Vitamins have those letters based on their order of discovery. All vitamins are essential nutrients. That is they need to be part of your diet. Vitamin K can however be made by gut bacteria.

The water soluble vitamins can be defined as the vitamins that is soluble in water and is removed out of the body through urine.

It does not get stored inside the body for a longer period of time. Example: vitamin B complex and vitamin C.

The vitamins that is stored inside the body is known as fat soluble vitamins. It need not to be taken daily. Example: vitamin A, D,E, K.

The water soluble vitamins should be taken regularly in daily diet because it is not stored in our body.
