To determine what students at a school would be willing to do to help address global warming, researchers take a random sample o

f 100 students. The students answer the questions, "How high of a tax would you be willing to add to gasoline (per gallon) in order to encourage drivers to drive less or to drive more fuel-efficient cars?" and, "Do you believe (yes or no) that global warming is a serious issue that requires immediate action?" The researchers want to compare the mean response on gasoline taxes (the first question) for those who answer yes and for those who answer no to the second question. (a) Identify the response variable and the explanatory variable. What is the response variable?

Find n(A) for A={0,1,2,3,...,2000}
miskamm [114]
There are 2001 items in that set.

So n(A) = 2001

We can individually count them all out, which is very slow and tedious, or we can use the formula
n-m+1

where,
m = starting value
n = ending value

In this case,
m = 0
n = 2000
So,
n-m+1 = 2000-0+1 = 2001

This formula only works if we increase the number by 1 each time (eg: 6, 7, 8, etc)

Solve the equation for the indicated variable S=2πrh+2πr²<br> Solve for h
valina [46]

Answer:

Good luck :)

Step-by-step explanation:

S=2πrh+2πr ²

subtract 2πr ² from each side

S -2πr ² = 2πrh

divide by 2πr from each side

(S -2πr ² )/ 2πr  = h

Can someone explain how to do this and add the formula please
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

5 is 35 and 6 is 50

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve 5, you need to know how many degrees is the line, which is 180 because lines are 180 degrees. You then subtract 110 from 180 which equals to 70. What you have left now is 2k. A number times 2 will equal to 70, so k=35.

For 6, if you ever see two lines intersecting each other, it means that it is 360 degrees. We already have one angle, which is 120. The other angle is d+70 degrees, and any angle that is reflecting the other angle will have the same value. So, d equals 50
