During the twentieth century, the real income of blue-collar workers in western societies increased significantly overall, although it has dropped in the past 20 years.
White-collar workers went to work in factories instead of going to farming, and within a few years created the new industrial working class of America. Workingin factories was a difficult transition for rural people who were accustomed to living in communities where life was controlled by the hours of available daylight and the natural rhythm of the seasons.

asset w has an expected return of 15.7 percent and a beta of 1.75. if the risk-free rate is 3.3 percent, what is the market risk
Marizza181 [45]

The market risk premium is 14.12. A market risk premium in finance and economic is used to measure how much the level of risk.

A risk premium means a measure of excess return that is used by an individual to compensate being subjected to an improved degree of risk. A risk premium is the common definition being the expected risky return less the risk-free return.

To find the amount of risk premium, we can calculate it use beta of the stock formula:

Beta of the stock = (expected return - risk-free rate) ÷ risk premium

Because we need the amount of  risk premium, then it will be:

Risk premium = Beta of the stock/(expected return - risk-free rate)

Risk premium =  1.75/(15.7% - 3.3 percent)

Risk premium = 1.75/(0.157 - 0.033)

Risk premium = 1.75/0.124

Risk premium = 14.12

Thus, the market risk premium is 14.12.

On November 1, year 1, ABC, Inc., received a 3-month, 8%, $1,500 note receivable with interest and principal to be collected on
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

The amount of interest revenue that should be recorded for year 1 is $20.

Explanation:

  • A note otherwise known as promissory note is an unconditional written promise by a borrower to a lender (payee) to pay a certain agreed sum at a specific date.
  • The interest revenue on notes receivable is calculated by Principal x Interest rate x Time period
  • In the case of ABC, Inc., the interest revenue to be recorded for year 1 (November 1 - December 31) is calculated as follows: $1,500 x 8%/12 = $10 monthly. For the 2 months, it is $10 x 2 months = $20.

According to PMI’s "Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct", project managers should exhibit all of the following behaviors EXC
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "C": authority - exert economic and political power .

Explanation:

The Project Management Institute (PMI) establishes in its "<em>Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct" </em>that there are four milestones important to consider for every project manager: <u><em>honesty</em></u><em>, </em><u><em>responsibility</em></u><em>, </em><u><em>respect</em></u><em>, </em>and<em> </em><u><em>fairness</em></u>. According to the PMI, those values drive not only the ethical life in the managerial but the real world, where the best outcome is the most ethical.

In that sense, "<em>authority</em>" has nothing to do with the PMI's Code of Ethics.
