We first would divide the Pentagon into two shapes, one a square and the other a triangle. To find the height of the triangle we must minus the 15cm to the 10cm, which gives us 5cm.

5cm= height of triangle

7cm= base of triangle

Then, apply the area of triangle formula

which is: A=(b×h)÷2

so the area would be 17.5cm squared.

For the square, 10= height and the 7=base

The formula for rectangles is:

A=b×h

so, the area is 70cm squared.

if you want the total area add the two area together, which equals 87.5cm squared.

I hope this helps.

Enter the difference as a mixed number
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

The answer is 2\frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide using long division. The whole number portion will be the number of times the denominator of the original fraction divides evenly into the numerator of the original fraction, and the fraction portion of the mixed number will be the remainder of the original fraction division over the denominator of the original fraction.

So you get 2 4/5

If a series of rigid transformations maps ∠F onto ∠C where ∠F is congruent to ∠C, then which of the following statements is true
navik [9.2K]

Answer:

D. segment BC ~ segment EF because corresponding parts of similar triangles are proportional

Step-by-step explanation:

Rigid transformations is a process which can be used to either enlarge, reduce, resize a given object. Examples are: translation, reflection, rotation etc.

Given that ∠F is congruent to ∠C in the question, this implies that ΔABC is similar to ΔFDE. Thus a scale is required to map the two triangles exactly into one another. Therefore, the statement that is true is segment BC ~ segment EF because corresponding parts of similar triangles are proportional.

Answer:

Cylinder A has a volume of 35.34 and Cylinder B has a volume of 58.9, the cylinder B has the greater volume.

Step-by-step explanation:

B= (3.14) 2.5 x 3h = 58.9     Cylinder B = 58.9

A= (3.14) 1.5 x 5h = 35.34     Cylinder A = 35.34

Explain and Show the equation of line perpendicular to y=-1x+2 going through the point (6, 3)
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

y = x-3 is the equation

Step-by-step explanation:

If two lines are perpendicular, the product of their slopes is -1

The general equation form of a straight line is;

y = mx + b

Fro the equation;

y = -1x + 2

The slope is -1

So the equation of the perpendicular line is as follows;

-1 * m = -1

m = 1

so we can use the point-slope equation form

That would be:

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-3 = 1(x-6)

y-3 = x-6

y = x-6+3

y = x-3
