So each book is an average of 2.8 cm
so 120 divided by each book=number of books
120/2.8=42.85
round down since you can't fit .85 of a book on a shelf
the answer is 42 books

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!
evablogger [386]

Answer:

y= - 2

Step-by-step explanation:

You want to find the equation for a line that passes through the point (3,-2) and has a slope of 0.

First of all, remember what the equation of a line is:

y = mx+b

Where:

m is the slope, and

b is the y-intercept

To start, you know what m is; it's just the slope, which you said was 0. So you can right away fill in the equation for a line somewhat to read:

y=0x+b.

Now, what about b, the y-intercept?

To find b, think about what your (x,y) point means:

(3,-2). When x of the line is 3, y of the line must be -2.

Because you said the line passes through this point, right?

Now, look at our line's equation so far: . b is what we want, the 0 is already set and x and y are just two "free variables" sitting there. We can plug anything we want in for x and y here, but we want the equation for the line that specfically passes through the the point (3,-2).

So, why not plug in for x the number 3 and for y the number -2? This will allow us to solve for b for the particular line that passes through the point you gave!.

(3,-2). y=mx+b or -2=0 × 3+b, or solving for b: b=-2-(0)(3). b=-2.

If the total number of books checked out of the library at your high school is 14,400 and the student population is about 2400.
Sedaia [141]

Each student on average has 6 books.

What is average?

 • In layman's terms, an average is a single number chosen to represent a set of numbers, usually the sum of the numbers divided by the number of numbers in the set.
 • The average of the numbers 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9 is 5, for example.

To find how many books on average each student has:

 • To find the average, divide the total number of books by the total number of students.
 • So, 14,400/2,400 = 6

Therefore, each student on average has 6 books.

How many solution exists for the given equation 3(x-2)=22-x
dolphi86 [110]

3(X-2) = 22- x Expanding the bracket by multiplying the 3 outside the bracket with x and 2, it becomes 3x- 6= 22-× Take like terms of X 3x+x = 22+6 4× =28 Divide both sides by 4 X= 7
