What is the realationship between frequency and wavelength ?

Physics

Answer:

Wavelength is the distance between the successive peaks of a repetitive wave.

Frequency is how often something happens. For a wave, frequency would refer to the  number of peaks (start counting at the zeroth peak) that occur within a  given time. If 5 peaks occur within 4 seconds, a wave would have a frequency of 5/4 = 1.25 Hz (Hertz). A hertz has units of 1/second.

Wavelength and frequency of a wave are related by the equation Velocity = Wavelength x Frequency, where the velocity is the speed of a wave peak as it passes a stationary point.

Answer:

Frequency of a wave is inversely proportional to the wavelength of the wave

Explanation:

We can find the relationship between frequency and wavelength of a wave by the following illustration:

Velocity = wavelength x frequency

Frequency = Velocity / wavelength

Since the velocity of wave is constant (i.e 3x10^8m/s), the frequency of the wave is inversely proportional to the wavelength. i.e

Frequency & 1/wavelength

This implies that a wave with a high frequency has a short wavelength and a wave with a low frequency has a longer wavelength.

Bill and Nageen have each built an electric motor and they are testing them by having them lift boxes. Bill's motor lifts a box
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

Bill's motor power: W_B = F x S / T = F x 0.35 / 2= 0.175F

Nageen's motor power: W_N = F x S / T = F x 0.35 / 1.8 = 0.194F

=> 0.194F > 0.175F => Nageen's motor applied more power to the box than Bill's motor.

The tongue weight of a trailer should be what percent of the gross trailer weight rating
mario62 [17]

Answer:

between 10 and 15 percent

Explanation:

How to put your load

- First load the heavy

The safe trailer starts loading correctly. Uneven weight can affect steering, brakes and swing control.

In general, 60% of the weight of the load should be in the front half of the trailer and 40% in the rear half (unless the manufacturer indicates something different). When you place the load, you want it to be balanced from side to side, keeping the center of gravity near the ground and on the axle of the trailer.

-  Hold your load

After balancing the load, you must hold it in place. An untapped load can move when the vehicle is moving and cause trailer instability.

- Trailer weight

To avoid overloading the trailer, look for the recommended weight rating. It is located on the VIN plate in the trailer chassis, usually on the tongue. Confirm the Gross Vehicle Weight Classification (GVWR) before towing.

GVWR: is the total weight that the trailer can support, including its weight. You can also find this number as the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW). The weight of the tongue should be 10-15% of the GTW.
