I assume 60 is the circumference of the circle.
if you sketch the graph, you will see that the radius from the center to the base, half the base, and the line segment form the center to one of the bottom vertex form a 30-60-90 degree triangle, the shortest leg is the radius of the circle, r.
the longer leg is √3r, and the hypotenuse is 2r.
the base of the triangle is 2√3r.
find r: 2πr=60, r=60/2π
2√3r=2√3*60/(2π)=60√3/π=33

Answer:

-2

Step-by-step explanation:

hi! to find f(-3) on this graph, go to the x-value -3 and find the y-value there. when we look at -3 on the x-axis, we go down and see that there is a point at (-3,-2). therefore, f(-3)=-2.

lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

D(t)=-24t+166

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

D(t) = the distance to the safe zone (measured in meters)

t = time (measured in seconds)

<u>Given:</u>

Rachel's rate = 24 meters per second

At t_1=4 seconds D(t_1)=70 meters

<u>Find:</u> D(t)

Rachel's rate is the slope of the function D(t). Since the distance is decreasing when the time is increasing, the slope must be negative.

Hence, the function expression is

D(t)=-24t+b

To find b, substitute t_1=4 and  D(t_1)=70:

70=-24\cdot 4+b\\ \\70=-96+b\\ \\b=70+96\\ \\b=166

So,

D(t)=-24t+166
