Given:
Rate of Manoj = 10.8 + x
Rate of Pawan, alone = 4 + x
Rate of Manoj and Pawan working together = x

Using the work equation:

1/Manoj + 1/Pawan = 1/both

1/(10.8 +x) + 1/(4+x) = 1/x

solve for x

x = 6.57 hours working together.

Answer:

(4w^2+180w+1800) meters^2

Explanation:

(60+2w) x (30+2w)

1800+120w+4w^2+60w

Combine like terms and rearrange into quadratic equation

4w^2+180w+1800

Don't forget to put your units and since we are talking about area be sure to add your squared symbol

For the post of editor at a publishing company, 2 of 8 applicants who passed the written test were called for an interview.
Annette [7]
B 25%

because if all 8 passed the written test it would be 100%. If 4 of 8 passed it would be 50%. So if only 2 out of 8 passed, it would be 25%

What is the greatest common factor of 44c^5, 22c^3 and 11c^4
Alexxandr [17]

\text{ GCF of } 44c^5, 22c^3 , 11c^4 \text{ is } 11c^3

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that, we have to find the greatest common factor of 44c^5, 22c^3 , 11c^4

The greatest number that is a factor of two (or more) other numbers.

When we find all the factors of two or more numbers, and some factors are the same ("common"), then the largest of those common factors is the Greatest Common Factor

\underline{\text{ GCF of } 44c^5, 22c^3 , 11c^4 :}

First find the GCF of numbers and then find the GCF of variables and then multiply them together

<em><u>Step 1: GCF of 44, 22 and 11</u></em>

The factors of 11 are: 1, 11

The factors of 22 are: 1, 2, 11, 22

The factors of 44 are: 1, 2, 4, 11, 22, 44

11 is the greatest factor that is common in above three list

Then the greatest common factor is 11

\text{ Step 2: GCF of }c^5, c^3 , c^4

c^5 = c^3 \times c^2\\\\c^3 = c^2 \times c^1 \text{ or } c^3\\\\c^4 = c^3 \times c^1

Thus the greatest common factor is c^3

Step 3: Multiply the GCF of 44, 22, 11 and GCF of c^5, c^3 , c^4

\text{ GCF of } 44c^5, 22c^3 , 11c^4 = 11 \times c^3 = 11c^3

Thus \text{ GCF of } 44c^5, 22c^3 , 11c^4 \text{ is } 11c^3

Work out the value of 16^-1/4
____ [38]

Answer:

1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

16^-1/4

We know that a^ -b = 1/a^b

1/( 16^1/4)

Rewriting 16 as 2^4

1/( 2^4^1/4)

We know that a^b^c = a^ (b*c)

1/( 2^(4*4))

1/2^1

1/2
