Slope<span>-intercept </span>form<span> is useful when we know the y- intercept of a line. However, we are not always given this information. When we know the </span>slope<span> and one </span>point<span> which is not the y -intercept, we can write the </span>equation<span> in </span>point-slope form<span>.</span>

All three sides of a triangle are initially 5.0 long. One of the triangle's sides is oriented horizontally. The triangle is scal
zlopas [31]

Answer:

h = 3.62

Step-by-step explanation:

First, as both triangles have the same angles we can use the relationship of areas and sides corresponding to similar triangles as follows:

relation\ between\ areas=( relation\ between\ sides)^2\\\frac{0.7A}{A}=(\frac{s}{5})^2\\s= 5\sqrt0.7= 4.18

Now we know that the new triangle has sides of 4.18. Then, as these triangles are equilateral we can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the height:

4.18^2=h^2+(\frac{4.18}{2})^2\\h=\sqrt (4.18^2-2.09^2)=3.62 m\\h= 3.62

Finally the height of this new triangle is 3.62 cm

How do you graph a linear equation?<br><br>For example, -18x+9y=72
nikdorinn [45]
Basically with the example you have you need to have the x and y variables on different sides.
Equation:
-18x+9y=72    (now you want to add 18x on both sides)
<u>+18x          +18x
</u><u>9y=72+18x </u>   (next you divide 9 to both sides to get x and y alone)
      9
y=8+2x (now that you have the x and y alone this is the final equation)

On the graph you want to put a dot on 8 since it's the y-intercept or the starting point of the equation. After that you want to add 2 every time you go by 1 on the x-axis. I have a picture of a graph...

<em>I hope this help you out :D</em>
