No a sphere consisting of steel at some dimensions such as 3 ft^3 wouldn't weigh the same as a sphere of silicone at 3 ft^3

The objects will not always have the same mass because they might not be made of the same substance. Some substances are heavier or denser than others. For example; A plate made of clay will be lighter than one made out of gold or diamond. Also, if you fill a beaker with water and another with sand at the same level, you will notice that the beaker with sand will be heavier and weigh a lot more than the beaker with water. This is because sand is denser than water. Hope i helped. GOODLUCK.

What is th range of the function?
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

Option D. [4,9]

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The range of a function is the complete set of all possible resulting values of the dependent variable (output values), after we have substituted the domain (input values)

In this problem we have

The domain of the function (input values or independent variable) is the interval [2,3,4]

The range of the function (output variable or dependent variable) is the interval [4,9]

What is the probability that a random sample of 17 pregnancies has a mean gestation period within 9 days of the mean?( length of
ozzi

Answer:

0.9864

Step-by-step explanation:

The average sample mean is 295, and the standard deviation is:

σ = 15 / √17

σ = 3.64

The z-scores are:

z = (x − μ) / σ

z₁ = (-9) / 3.64

z₁ = -2.47

z₂ = (9) / 3.64

z₂ = 2.47

So the probability is:

P(-2.47 < Z < 2.47) = P(Z < 2.47) − P(Z < -2.47)

P(-2.47 < Z < 2.47) = 0.9932 − 0.0068

P(-2.47 < Z < 2.47) = 0.9864

Can someone help me to find length CD
uysha [10]

Answer:

CD = 3.602019190339

Step-by-step explanation:

CD = DA - CA

DA = DB×Cos(29) = 18.7×cos(29) = 16.355388523507

BA = BA×cos(43) = 18.7×cos(43) = 13.676314220278

CA = BA÷tan(47) = 13.676314220278÷tan(47) = 12.753369333168

Then

CD = 16.355388523507 - 12.753369333168 = 3.602019190339

A total of 8 representatives need to be chosen from a group of 40 students, of which 24 are female and 16 are male. In how many
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

Probability = 0.0147

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this, we need to know the number of ways the representatives can be picked overall, and then the number of ways 3 females and 3 males can be the representatives. The fraction of the two will be the probability.

The total number of ways the representatives can be picked is the combination of a pool of 40 students and choosing 8 is; C(40,8) = 40!/((8!)(40 - 12)!)

= 76904685

We have gotten the number of ways the representatives can be picked.

Now let's find how many ways can the jury consist of 3 females and 3 males

For the males, there are 16 in the pool and we're picking 3:

Thus, C(16,3) = 16!/((3!)(16 - 3)!) = 560

For the females, there are 24 in the pool and we're picking 3:

Thus, C(24,3) = 24!/((3!)(24 - 3)!) = 2024

Thus, number of men and women choices = 2024 x 560 = 1133440

So; probability = 1133440/76904685 = 0.0147
