No a sphere consisting of steel at some dimensions such as 3 ft^3 wouldn't weigh the same as a sphere of silicone at 3 ft^3

The objects will not always have the same mass because they might not be made of the same substance. Some substances are heavier or denser than others. For example; A plate made of clay will be lighter than one made out of gold or diamond. Also, if you fill a beaker with water and another with sand at the same level, you will notice that the beaker with sand will be heavier and weigh a lot more than the beaker with water. This is because sand is denser than water. Hope i helped. GOODLUCK.

Solve the equation. 2/3 - 4x 7/2= -9x+ 5/6 step by step
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:  \bold{x=\dfrac{11}{21}}

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

\dfrac{2}{3}-\dfrac{4x+7}{2}=-9x+\dfrac{5}{6}\\\\(6)\dfrac{2}{3}-(6)\dfrac{4x+7}{2}=-9x(6)+(6)\dfrac{5}{6}\qquad \text{(multiplied by LCD) }\\\\4 - 12x-21=-54x+5\qquad \text{(simplified)}\\\\-12x - 17 = -54x + 5\qquad \text{(added like terms)}\\\\42x-17=5\qquad \text{(added 54x to both sides)}\\\\42x = 22\qquad \text{(added 17 to both sides)}\\\\x=\dfrac{22}{42}\qquad \text{(divided both sides by 42)}\\\\x=\dfrac{11}{21}\qquad \text{(reduced the fraction)}

NOTE: The sign between 4x and 7 is missing in the question you posted.  I assumed it was 4x + 7 in order to solve the equation.

STatiana [176]

Kevin will have enough. He will need to pay $23.10.

5% of $22 is $1.10.

22+1.10=23.10

23.10 is less than 24

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 7 feet long. One leg is 4 feet longer than the other. Find the lengths of the legs, Round
Andrews [41]

Answer:

Shorter leg = 2.5 ft.

Longer leg = 6.5 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Because the hypotenuse = 7 ft, a^2 + b^2 = 49

To represent the two legs, we can use x and x+4.

x^2 + (x+4)^2 = 49

Simplifying this equation using FOIL gives us 2x^2 + 8x - 33 = 0.

Then, using the quadratic formula, we find that x = 2.5.

Thus, the shorter leg is 2.5 ft. and, when 4 is added, the longer leg is 6.5 ft.
