Which line of immune defense system is broken when you cut your hand deeply?
MariettaO [177]

The second line of defence is a group of cells, tissues and organs that work together to protect the body. This is the immune system.

When a pathogen (disease-causing organism) invades the body, the neutrophils gather at the entry site and try to engulf it and destroy it.

A T helper cell will recognise only one pathogen. If the T helper cell recognises the invader, it will immediately clone to increase numbers.

After a few days of fighting off the pathogen, you will recover from your infection.

Write a dialogue in which you use effective communication skills to explain to the teen the importance of knowing first aid. Be
Anestetic [448]
First aid is care given to someone before a paramedic arrives so for example..  If you and your friend are out on the trails on atvs and your friend wrecks his/her dirt bike and you are miles from the nearest help what would you do? without first aid your friend could die he/ she has a large deep gash in their thigh. It is bleeding bad and applying pressure isn't helping stop it. You remember something from first aid class that may help but your friend could lose their leg and is very scared. so you would try to calm him/her down reassure them and, then you apply a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.                             now you take your friend to the nearest help.   You just saved your friends life but, if you didn't know first aid he/she could've died by the time a paramedic made it to where you were.  That is why is important to know.                      that is what we were taught in my class it worked we all passed and knew how to apply first aid.            hope this helped. :)

Which one of the following choices is most accurate about fat-soluble vitamins?
Ede4ka [16]

I believe the answer is: D. They can be stored in the body.

Unlike other similar substance, Fat-soluble vitamins cannot be dissolved in water and would give the best performance when being consumed together with foods with higher fat content.

When the body do not use all the existing fat soluble vitamins, they would be stored within the liver and fatty tissue for future use.

How many hours of mental health instruction are required each year beginning in sixth grade?.
andrew-mc [135]

Starting in the sixth grade, students are expected to take 5 hours of mental health training annually.

An essential project to better understand mental health disorders and provide healthcare access for people who require it is mental health awareness.

People frequently suffer in silence & refuse treatment because of stigma and misunderstandings around mental health disorders.

By sharing our own experiences, we can work to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and other mental health disorders. Due to misunderstandings regarding mental health & mental fitness, many people experience mental illness in secret and without receiving proper care.
