Answer is 5. Lamarck.

The Theory of Inheritance of Acquired Characteristics is put forward by Lamarck to explain evolution . According to his theory, if an organism acquires (changes) during life in order to adapt to its environment, those changes are passed on to its offspring. He said that change is made by what the organisms want or need.

For example, giraffes stretched their necks to reach food. Their offspring and later generations inherited the resulting long necks.

 • According to his hypothesis he stated that genes that are linked are arranged linearly on a chromosome, while those genes with low combination frequencies must be closer together and thus difficult to separate.
 • When a gene contains two similar alleles that is, either two dominant alleles or two recessive alleles then it is called homozygous dominant and homozygous recessive respectively. White eyes of a fruit fly is an example of homozygous recessive

Anni [7]
Because gametes (sex cells) are the only cells that pass along genetic information. Somatic cells are the cells that have already differentiated into various organs or tissues. They can't pass on a mutation to offspring because they're not involved in creating it.
