X^2-4x-32=0

(x+a)(x+b)

x^2-(a+b)x+ab

a+b=4
ab=-32

a=-b+4
(-b+4)b=-32

-b^2+4b=-32
b^2-4b-32=0
b=8,-4

If b=8, a=-4
If b=-4, a= 8

Plug in a and b to (x+a)(x+b)
x= -4, 8

Find the distance between (1, 3) and (-2, -6) and put it in simplest radical form
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

  • \tt 9.48

Step-by-step explanation:

(1,3) and (-2,-6)

\tt Distance= \sqrt{(-6-3)^2+(-2-1)^2}

\tt =\sqrt{9^2+3^2}

\tt =\sqrt{81+9} =\sqrt{90}

\tt Distance=\sqrt{90} =9.48

The area of a sector of a circle with a radius measuring 15 cm is 75(pi) cm2. What is the measure of the central angle that form
anyanavicka [17]

The sector of the circle is bounded by 2 radii, and the measure of the central angle that forms the sector is 120 degrees

<h3>How to determine the central angle?</h3>

The given parameters are:

  • Area = 75π cm^2
  • Radius, r = 15 cm

The area is calculated using

Area = α/360 * πr^2

So, we have:

α/360 * π * 15^2 = 75π

Evaluate the exponent

α/360 * π * 225 = 75π

Divide both sides by 75π

α/360 * 3 = 1

Multiply

α/120  = 1

Multiply both sides by 120

α = 120

Hence, the measure of the central angle that forms the sector is 120 degrees

Use the given information to determine which of the following relationships can be proved and why?
JulsSmile [24]

Answer: A.  Δ LMN ≅ ΔOPQ because of AAS.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given picture, we have two triangles Δ LMN and ΔOPQ.

Also it is given that in Δ LMN and ΔOPQ.

\angle{L}=\angle{O}

\angle{M}=\angle{P}

\overline{LN}=\overline{OQ}

So by AAS theorem, we have

Δ LMN ≅ ΔOPQ.

  • AAS theorem says that if two angles and any side of a triangle are congruent to two angles and any side of another triangle then the two triangles are congruent.

Find the equation of a line that runs through
Alborosie

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

equation of a line

y - y1 = m(x -x1)

where (x1, y1) is a point on the line and m is the slope

since it is parallel to the line 3x + y = -7, put in y = mx + b form to find the slope

y = -3x - 7, therefore m = -3

y - 1 = -3(x - 2)
