State whether the equation represents exponential growth, exponential decay, or neither. y=2*0.68^x

an exponential equation will look like

y = a(b)ˣ

now, the tale-tell guy is the "b" component, or growth/decay factor.

if "b" is less than 1, is decay, if "b" is greater than 1, is growth.

in this case b = 0.68, that's less than 1, so decay.

What would you have to do to make the line y = 2x -7 steeper on the coordinate plane?
ValentinkaMS [17]
The slope, if increased, would make the line y=2x-7 steeper. If you were to increase the y intercept, you would just move the line, not tilt it. Suggest changing it to 4x-7 = y or 8x-7= y, if you increase the slope, it'll make it steeper.

2. Check the boxes for the following sets that are closed under the given
son4ous [18]

The properties of the mathematical sequence allow us to find that the recurrence term is 1 and the operation for each sequence is

   a) Subtraction

   b) Addition

   c) AdditionSum

   d) in this case we have two possibilities

       * If we move to the right the addition

       * If we move to the left the subtraction

The sequence is a set of elements arranged one after another related by some mathematical relationship. The elements of the sequence are called terms.

The sequences shown can be defined by recurrence relations.

Let's analyze each sequence shown, the ellipsis indicates where the sequence advances.

a) ... -7, -6, -5, -4, -3

We can observe that each term has a difference of one unit; if we subtract 1 from the term to the right, we obtain the following term

        -3 -1 = -4

        -4 -1 = -5

        -7 -1 = -8

Therefore the mathematical operation is the subtraction.

b) 0. \sqrt{1}. \sqrt{4}, \sqrt{9}, \sqrt{16}, \sqrt{25}  ...

In this case we can see more clearly the sequence when writing in this way

      0, \sqrt{1^2}. \sqrt{2^2}, \sqrt{3^2 } . \sqrt{4^2} , \sqrt{5^2}

each term is found by adding 1 to the current term,

      \sqrt{(0+1)^2} = \sqrt{1^2} \\\sqrt{(1+1)^2} = \sqrt{2^2}\\\sqrt{(2+1)^2} = \sqrt{3^2}\\\sqrt{(5+1)^2} = \sqrt{6^2}

Therefore the mathematical operation is the addition

c)   ... \frac{-10}{2}. \frac{-8}{2}, \frac{-6}{2}, \frac{-4}{2}. \frac{-2}{2}. ...

      The recurrence term is unity, with the fact that the sequence extends to the right and to the left the operation is

  • To move to the right add 1

           -\frac{-10}{2} + 1 = \frac{-10}{2}  -   \frac{2}{2}  = \frac{-8}{2}\\\frac{-8}{2} + \frac{2}{2} = \frac{-6}{2}

  • To move left subtract 1

         \frac{-2}{2} - 1 = \frac{-4}{2}\\\frac{-4}{2} - \frac{2}{2} = \frac{-6}{2}

Using the properties the mathematical sequence we find that the recurrence term is 1 and the operation for each sequence is

   a) Subtraction

   b) Sum

   c) Sum

   d) This case we have two possibilities

  •  If we move to the right the sum
  •  If we move to the left we subtract

Two quadratic functions are shown.
slava [35]

Answer:

Option (1) is the correct option.

Step-by-step explanation:

Function 1,

f(x) = 4x² + 8x + 1

     = 4(x² + 2x) + 1

     = 4(x² + 2x + 1 - 1) + 1

     = 4(x² + 2x + 1) - 4 + 1

f(x) = 4(x + 1)² - 3

This graph opens up with the vertex or minimum point at (-1, -3)

So, the minimum value of the function is (-3) at x = -1.

Function (2)

From the given table minimum value of the function is 0 at x = -1 or minimum point as (-1, 0)

Therefore, Function 1 has the least minimum value and its coordinates are (-1, -3)

Option (1) is the correct option.

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

The WIP limit is 0.50 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Computation of WIP limits:

to begin with, it is required to compute the process and procedure efficiency which will be computed as follows:

Value Added Time = 12 days (arriving time)

Non-Value-Added Time = 12 days (departure time)

Efficiency = Value Added / (Value Added + Non-Value Added)

                = 12 / (12+12)

                = 12 / 24

               = 0.50 or 50%

the most obligatory throughput time will be 0.25 days to realize the profits

WIP limit = Throughput time / Efficiency

               = 0.25 / 50%

               = 0.50 days.

The WIP limit is 0.50 days.
