121 ft total and is split by a ratio of 4:7
4+7=11
121/11 = 11
So on piece is 4(11)=44ft long, and one is 7(11)=77ft long.

You didn't show us much of the page with the question on it,
so we can't be sure of exactly what you're working on in math.

If you're working with things like squares and rectangles, then
'L' and 'W' are often used to represent the Length and Width of
shapes drawn on paper, or even Length and Width of 3D objects
like blocks or boxes.

The sum of the inner angles of a polygon with n sides is 180(n-2)

Since your polygon has 6 sides, the sum of its inner angles has to be

180(6-2) = 180 \cdot 4 = 720

On the other hand, the sum of its inner angles is

75+132+113+108+160+x = 588+x

And it has to be 720, so we have

588+x=720 \iff x = 720-588 = 132

The time it takes a printer to print a job is an Exponential random variable with the expectation of 12 seconds. You send a job
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

0.8753

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the probability that your job will be ready before 10.01 am

Here, the parameter of an Exponential is E(X)=12

Now, to calculate the third job probability, it follows Poisson Distribution with parameter 1/λ

Therefore, E(Y) =1/12

Here, The third job will be ready for 10:01 AM, then E(Y)=61/12

Therefore, the required probability is

P(X\geq 3)=1-P(X

=1- POISSON(3,5,true)

=1-0.1246

=0.8753

BC is tangent to circle A at B and to circle D at C. AB=9, BC=26, and DC=8. Find AD to the nearest tenth.
Ksju [112]
There are two circles with center  A and D. The tangent line touches both point B and C. The given measurements are enough to solve for the missing value and the solution is shown below:
AB=9
BC=26
DC=8
Solve for the measurement of AC which the hypotenuse of legs AB and BC by Pythagorean theorem:
c²=a²+b²
c²=9²+26²
c=AC=27.51
Solve for angle of A
sin A=26/27.51
A=70.93°
Finally, we solve for the length of AD using SOH
sin 70.93°=AD/27.51
AD=26
The answer is 26.
