34% . Since going from 75% to 82% is simply the right portion of that middle, the answer is half of 68%, or 34%.

Answer:

B y = -.001x +100

Step-by-step explanation:

(0,100) (2000,98)

98-100/ 2000-0 = -2/2000 = -1/1000

y-100 = -.001(x -0)

y= -.001x +100

Circle 1 is centered at (−4, 5) and has a radius of 2 centimeters. Circle 2 is centered at (2, 1) and has a radius of 6 centimet
IgorC [24]
Basically, you have two circles. You are asked to take circle 1 and "move it" so that it is on top of circle 2. This process of moving is called a translation and can be thought of as sliding. You do this by ensuring that the two have the same center. So, starting at (-4,5) how do you have to move to end up at (2,1)?

To do this we need to move right 6 as the x-coordinate goes from -4 to 2. We also need to move down 4 as the y-coordinate goes from 5 to 1. So we add 6 to the x-coordinate and subtract 4 from the y-coordinate. The transformation rule is (x+6, y-4).

Once you do this the circles have the same center. Next you wish to dilate circle 1 so it ends up being the same size at circle 2. That means you stretch it out in such a way that it keeps its shape. Circle 1 has a radius of 2 centimeters and circle 2 has a radius of 6 centimeters. That is 3x bigger. So we dilate by a factor of 3.

Translations and dilations (along with reflections and rotations) belong to a group known as transformations.

A circle has a circumference of 18. It has an arc of length 6. What is the central angle of the arc, in degrees?
nadya68 [22]
Circumference: 2πr C=18 so r= 18/2π= 9π

Arc length = rθ 6=(9π)θ θ=6/9π

Convert to degrees by multiplying by 180/π

6/9π x 180/π = 120 degrees

Help? im confused plss!
Find the area of the regular polygon with the given radius or apothem
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

 50 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the regular polygon is a square, there are multiple ways you can jump directly to the answer. Perhaps the simplest is to use the formula for the area of a rhombus:

 A = 1/2(d1)(d2)

where d1 and d2 are the lengths of the diagonals. Here, we see that half the diagonal is 5 cm, so the area is ...

 A = (1/2)(10 cm)(10 cm) = 50 cm² . . . . area of the polygon

__

Alternate solution

If you want to use the radius and the number of sides in a formula, you can consider the area of each triangle formed by radii and a side. That triangle has area ...

 A = 1/2r²sin(α)

where r is the radius and α is the central angle. For an n-sided polygon, the area is the sum of n of these triangles, and the central angle is 360°/n. Then the polygon area is ...

 A = n/2·r²·sin(360°/n)

For n = 4 and r = 5 cm, the area is ...

 A = (4/2)(5 cm)²(sin(360°/4)) = 2(5 cm)²(1) = 50 cm² . . . . area of square

_____

Additional comment

The formula is somewhat different if you start with the length of the apothem. One way to find the area is using the above formula and the relation between the radius and apothem:

 r = a·sec(180°/n)

Another formula uses the apothem directly:

 A = n·a²·tan(180°/n)
