The following year, he was captured under the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 and tried under the law in Boston. The law was fiercely resisted in Boston, and the case attracted national publicity, large demonstrations, protests and an attack on US Marshals at the courthouse. Federal troops were used to ensure Burns was transported to a ship for return to Virginia after the trial. He was eventually ransomed from slavery, with his freedom purchased by Boston sympathizers. Afterward he was educated at Oberlin College and became a Baptist preacher, moving to Upper Canada for a position.[1]

A post-modern approach to defining social justice is distinct from a modern approach in that
alexandr402 [8]

The answer is: it does not tell us exactly what a just society would look like and that it treats justice more as a process than as a goal.

This happen because Post-modern approach sees that what considered to be a justice by a certain group of people might not necessarily seen as so by the other group of people.

Because of this, they treat justice as a process, in which people made the effort to compromise with each other regardless of our difference/

What is the common psychological label for the developmental period during which a child has reached sexual maturity but has not
Aleks [24]

Answer: Adolescence

Explanation:

Adolescence is a stage that begins between 10 and 13 years old. It is a period where children grow faster. In this stage, great changes arise, where the young person begins to relate to the world differently. The child is already beginning to grow in various aspects, especially in the sexual sphere. The adolescent's body undergoes a series of changes such as hair growth in different parts of the body, the self-examination begins in a more conscious way and contact with people of the opposite sex.

Adolescence is a fundamental stage, which can mark the following stages of development of the person, so a full education on what this stage consists of is essential. The adolescent has many doubts and due to the little knowledge of what is happening to his body, he may experience experimentation that in some cases would not be to his liking. This is a sensitive stage, where the adolescent struggles to understand everything that happens to him and where full maturity is not yet reached.

1. What is the relationship between God and Adam? Between God and Lucifer? How does God treat them differently?
Katena32 [7]

Answer: God keeps Adam in Garden of Eden in infantile (i.e. unconscious state). It means that Adam does not know what is good or bad and continues living total symbiosis with the God. Commiting sin (eating the apple from the tree of knowledge) and being expulsed from the garden he "is born", i.e. he becomes conscious. It means he becomes aware of his existence separate of the existence of God.

Lucifer (in the garden it is embodies in the snake) is a shadowy aspect of God, his left (sinister) hand whereas the Christ is good/light aspect of God. We can say that Lucifer (trans. "the one who carries the light, i.e. the one who enlightens things, who makes them conscious) is that part of divinity which split off (not integrated).

God is unconscious which is the reason why there is still an inter-play of light and dark. God becomes increasingly conscious precisely because of this interplay. God of the Old Testament is totally unconscious of his acts (perfectly visible in the Book of Job). Christ to fulfill his destiny and task here on the Earth needs Devil/Satan....without him there would be no Christ. It is like in the case of Prometheus ...he needs his adversary, Zeus...without his there would be no stealing of fire.

Explanation: Religions are products of human psyche. Unconscious of workings of psyche, old nations personified psychic powers as gods. So the good and the evil (enormously powerful forces within human psyche were personified as gods) were usually viewed as divine forces. Like that inner conflicts of the humankind were exteriorized.

An client is described as having pectus carinatum. what would be the physical manifestation of this condition?
svlad2 [7]

The physical manifestation of this condition exists breathing difficulty after activity or exertion. A depressed sternum would be regarded funnel chest or pectus excavatum. S-shaped spinal curvature would be regarded as scoliosis.

What are the symptoms of pectus carinatum?

 • breathing difficulty after activity or exertion.
 • chest pain
 • spine's lateral curvature.
 • lack of the upper back's curvature.
 • shoulders with hooks.
 • a wide, slim chest.

When the chest extends beyond the sternum, pectus carinatum is present. It is frequently claimed that it makes the person look like a bird.

The ribs slant backward, and the sternum protrudes. This congenital deformity, often known as pigeon chest, is characterized by an abnormal protrusion of the sternum and a rearward slope of the ribs.

A depressed sternum would be regarded funnel chest or pectus excavatum. S-shaped spinal curvature would be regarded as scoliosis.

As the anteroposterior diameter rises to match the transverse diameter, a rounded chest would be referred to as a barrel chest.
