What torque specs to heads bolts need to be at for a 76 small block chevy is given below

Explanation:

1.Always torque bolts in three equal increments

Bolts or Parts Lube or Sealer Torque to:

Cylinder Heads Engine oil (blind hole) Sealer (water jacket) 65 ft-lbs.

Rocker Studs (screw-in) Engine Oil 50 ft-lbs.

2.Intake Manifold to Cylinder Head

  • In the GM 350-cubic-inch engine, the intake manifold bolts to the cylinder head with 33 foot-pounds of torque.

3.Torque the head bolts in the same manner in three stages. Start by tightening all the bolts in sequence to 45 pounds of torque, then to 75 and finally to the torque recommended. Depending on the type of head you are installing, the final torque number will be different.

4.Bolts with any signs of damage, no matter how slight, should never be reused. Not only will the bolts eventually fail, but when they do, there is the potential for them to cause damage to your cylinder head. This results in a much more expensive repair than simply replacing the bolts in the first place.

5.The Chevy 350 engine is a 350 cubic inch (5.7-liter) small block V8 with a 4.00 and 3.48 inch bore and stroke. Depending on the year, make and model of a car, horsepower ranges from approximately 145 to more than 370.

Determine the slopes and deflections at points B and C for the beam shown below by the moment-area method. E=constant=70Gpa I=50
inn [45]

Answer:

hello your question is incomplete attached below is the complete question

answer :

Slopes : B = 180 mm , C = 373 mm

Deflection: B = 0.0514 rad ,  C = 0.077 rad

Explanation:

Given data :

I = 500(10^6) mm^4

E = 70 GPa

The M / EI diagram is attached below

Deflection angle at B

∅B = ∅BA = [ 150 (6) + 1/2 (300)*6 ] / EI

                 = 1800 / ( 500 * 70 ) = 0.0514 rad

slope at B

ΔB = ΔBA = [ 150(6)*3 + 1/2 (300)*6*4 ] / EI

                 = 6300 / ( 500 * 70 ) = 0.18 m = 180 mm

Deflection angle at C

∅C = ∅CA = [ 1800 + 300*3 ] / EI

                 = 2700 / ( 500 * 70 )

                 = 2700 / 35000 = 0.077 rad

Slope at C

ΔC = [ 150 * 6 * 6 + 1/2 (800)*6*7 + 300(3) *1.5 ]

     = 13050 / 35000 = 373 mm

Determine the enthalpy, volume and density of 1.0 kg of steam at a pressure of 0.5 MN/m2 and with a dryness fraction of 0.96
Viktor [21]

Answer:

Enthalpy, hsteam = 2663.7 kJ/kg

Volume, Vsteam = 0.3598613 m^3 / kg

Density = 2.67 kg/ m^3

Explanation:

Mass of steam, m = 1 kg

Pressure of the steam, P = 0.5 MN/m^2

Dryness fraction, x = 0.96

At P = 0.5 MPa:

Tsat = 151.831°C

Vf = 0.00109255 m^3 / kg

Vg = 0.37481 m^3 / kg

hf = 640.09 kJ/kg

hg = 2748.1 kJ/kg

hfg = 2108 kJ/kg

The enthalpy can be given by the formula:

hsteam = hf + x * hfg

hsteam = 640.09 + ( 0.96 * 2108)

hsteam = 2663.7 kJ/kg

The volume of the steam can be given as:

Vsteam = Vf + x(Vg - Vf)

Vsteam = 0.00109255 + 0.96(0.37481 - 640.09)

Vsteam = 0.3598613 m^3 / kg

From the steam table, the density of the steam at a pressure of 0.5 MPa is 2.67 kg/ m^3
