The ordered pair is only a solution to the first equation, so it is not a solution to the system.

2 x 10 = 20    5 x 5 = 25    20 - 25 = -5     True!

10 + 2 x 5 = 11?    False!    10 + 2 x 5 = 20

So, A and C are the correct answers!

OleMash [197]
Baker's Flour in kg Y x x A x x X x x x x x x I ----------------------------------------------------------- S 2 1/2 3 1/4 4 4 1/4 4 1/2 5 X axis It would be 3.5 in each bag after the baker redistributes the flour. This is because the total flour would be 35 kg. 35 divided by 10 is 3.5 kg of flour in each bag.

how much water should be mixed with 6 gallons of 55% solution of sulfuric acid to make a 20% solution of sulfuric acid
nevsk [136]
Hello.

For all dilution problems use the dilution equation:
C1V1 = C2V2
20*V1 = 6*55
V1 = 6*55/20
V1 = 16.5 gallons
The final volume must be 16.5 gallons
You must add 16.5 - 6 = 10.5 gallons water to be added.
