If you notice the tickmarks, that means all slanted sides are of length 2.5

now, a triangular prism, is just two triangles and three rectangles stacked up to each other, check the picture below, like so.  So to get the area of it, simply get the area of the rectangles and the triangles.

now, notice, the triangles have a base of 4 and an altitude/height of 1.5.

the rectangles on the left and right sides are just 2.5 x 6 each.

and the rectangle at the base of the prism, is a 4 x 6.

thus, the area of the triangular prism is just

\bf 2\left( \frac{1}{2}\cdot 4\cdot 1.5  \right)+2(2.5\cdot 6)+(4\cdot 6)\implies 6+30+24\implies \boxed{60}

In which direction does the right side of this graph point? F(x)= -x^4-x^3+4x-2
suter [353]

Answer: Down

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the graph of  y = x 4  has both arms pointing up.

Now, since the leading coefficient of  f ( x )  is negative, both arms are pointing down. Thus the right side is pointing down.

2. Which of the following methods can't be used to find the zeros of a function?
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The correct option is;

Substitute x = 0 in the function  and solve for f(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

The zeros of a function are the values of x which produces the value of 0 when substituted in the function

It is the point where the curve or line of the function crosses the x-axis

A. Substituting x = 0 will only give the point where the curve or line of the function crosses the y-axis,

Therefore, substituting x = 0 in the function  can't be used to find the zero's of a function

B. Plotting a graph of the table of values of the function will indicate the zeros of the function or the point where the function crosses the x-axis

C. The zero product property when applied to the factors of the function equated to zero can be used to find the zeros of a function

d, The quadratic formula can be used to find the zeros of a function when the function is written in the form a·x² + b·x + c = 0
