So find how much the racer needs to cover more she covered 20 and needs to cover 75 75-20=55 she needs to cover 55 more so 10 km per hour 10 times x hours=55 miles divide both sides by 10 x hours=5.5 since you want whole hours, we round up so she at least gets there 6 hour, I think

Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Length of the mural should be 20.78 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the mural be L and the width W

Area = L × W = 60 m²

Ticket wants the L = 15 + 2W

Substitute for L in the Area eqn

(15 + 2W) × W = 60

15W + 2W² = 60

2W² + 15W - 60 = 0

Solving the quadratic equation

W = 2.89 m or - 10.39 m

Obviously, the width cannot be negative,

So, W = 2.89 m

L = 15 + 2W = 15 + 2(2.89) = 20.78 m

Check - L × W = 20.78 × 2.89 = 60 m²

Hope this Helps!!!

5х + y = 16<br> х+ 6у = 38
Ainat [17]

Answer:

(2,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve by substitution. Solve the second equation for x:

x+6y=38\\\\x+6y-6y=38-6y\\\\x=38-6y

Insert the value of x into the first equation:

5(38-6y)+y=16

Solve for y. Simplify multiplication using the distributive property:

5(38)+5(-6y)+y=16\\\\190-30y+y=16\\\\190-29y=16

Subtract 190 from both sides:

190-190-29y=16-190\\\\-29y=-174

Isolate the variable to find its value. Divide both sides by -29:

\frac{-29y}{-29}=\frac{-174}{-29}  \\\\y=6

Now take the value of y and insert back into either equation to solve for x:

5x+6=16

Subtract 6 from both sides:

5x+6-6=16-6\\\\5x=10

Divide both sides by 5:

\frac{5x}{5}=\frac{10}{5}\\\\  x=2

Therefore, the solution to the system is (2,6).

In two or more complete sentences, describe how you would draw the graph of the solution set for the following inequality. -3m+1
Marat540 [252]

First find the value of m by solving the inequality.

Solving the inequality we get value of m: m>-4

Now, for drawing the graph, a dotted line will be on -4, as values greater than -4 are included in the graph. and all the portion on right side of -4 is included in the graph.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to draw the graph of the solution set for the following inequality. -3m+18 < 30

First we will solve the inequality and find value of m

-3m+18 < 30

Adding -18 on both sides

-3m+18-18 < 30-18\\-3m

Dividing both sides by -3 and reversing the inequality i.e < is changed into >

\frac{-3m}{-3}-4

So, value of m is: m>-4

So. for drawing the graph, a dotted line will be on -4, as values greater than -4 are included in the graph. and all the portion on right side of -4 is included in the graph.

The graph is shown in figure attached.
