So first what you are going to do is divide synthetically your root aka factor into your given equation. Then you are going to kind of guess ands check to find the other factor by synthetically dividing what you have left which should be
x^2 +2x +1 by -5, 5 (to make sure there is no multiplicity), 1, and -1 until you get zero in your remainder spot. The number you used to divide will be your other root.

Answer:

this is school work

Step-by-step explanation: sorry but you gotta figure this out yourself.

but, the thing is that you should figure out the stuff inside the (these -->) then figure out the rest step by step like this, x= what then try to understand y= what, then use them to answer the problem.

and if its like this 1(4x + 5y) that mean that 9xy times 1 is your answer, this is an example.

Find the sum of the equation
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

\frac{{y}^{2}+13y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

Step-by-step explanation:

1)  Rewrite {y}^{2}-2y+1y  in the form{a}^{2}-2ab+{b}^{2}, where a = y and b = 1.

\frac{y}{{y}^{2}-2(y)(1)+{1}^{2}}+\frac{6}{{y}^{2}+6y-7}

2)  Use Square of Difference: {(a-b)}^{2}={a}^{2}-2ab+{b}^{2}.

\frac{y}{{(y-1)}^{2}}+\frac{6}{{y}^{2}+6y-7}

3)  Factor {y}^{2}+6y-7.

1 - Ask: Which two numbers add up to 6 and multiply to -7?

-1 and 7

2 - Rewrite the expression using the above.

(y-1)(y-7)

Outcome/Result: \frac{y}{(y-1)^2} +\frac{6}{(y-1)(y+7)}

4) Rewrite the expression with a common denominator.

\frac{y(y+7)+6(y-1)}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

5)  Expand.

\frac{{y}^{2}+7y+6y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

6) Collect like terms.

\frac{{y}^{2}+(7y+6y)-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

7) Simplify  {y}^{2}+(7y+6y)-6y  to  {y}^{2}+13y-6y

\frac{{y}^{2}+13y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}
