Answer:

108N

Explanation:

According to law of gravitation which states that "the force

of attraction between two masses in a gravitational field is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of their distance between them.

Mathematically, F = Gm1m2/r²

Where;

m1 and m2 are the masses of the object

G is the gravitational constant

r is the distance between the masses

If Objects 1 and 2 attract each other with a gravitational force of 36.0 units, we will have;

36 = Gm1m2/r²... (1)

If the mass of Object 2 is tripled, the gravitational force becomes

F = Gm1(3m2)/r²

F = 3Gm1m2/r²... (2)

Dividing equation 1 by 2, we will have;

36/F = {Gm1m2/r²}/3Gm1m2/r²

36/F = Gm1m2/r²×r²/3Gm1m2

36/F = 1/3

Cross multiplying we have

F = 36×3

F = 216N

Therefore, the gravitational force when the second object is tripled is 108N

Why do fields store potential energy? an object in the field has charge, fields don’t store potential energy, stationary objects
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Hey

Your answer would be:

stationary objects within the field will move when realesed.

The reason why is because fields store potential energy as you know. when something is stationary it has potential, but when it is released that potential energy turns into kinetic energy.

this made me think of a funny joke:

A man was about to jump off of the Empire State Building when a physicist from below yield, Wait don't! you have so much potential!

lol always cracks me up.

A convex security mirror has a radius of curvature of 12.0 cm. What is the magnification of a pare 3.0 m from the mirror?
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

magnification will be -0.025

Explanation:

We have given the radius of curvature = 12 cm

And object distance = 3 m

So focal length f=\frac{R}{2}=\frac{12}{2}=6cm

Now for mirror we know that \frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{u}+\frac{1}{v}

So \frac{1}{0.06}=\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{v}

16.66-0.333=\frac{1}{v}

v = 0.750 m

Now magnification of the mirror is m=\frac{-v}{u}=\frac{-0.750}{3}=-0.025

A 3.0 kg rock is dropped from rest. What will its velocity be in 6.0 s if a 7.0 N force of air resistance acts on it?
kicyunya [14]

Explanation:

F=ma

m=3kg

F=7N

7=3a

a=7/3

acceleration=velocity/time taken

7/3=velocity/6

velocity=7/3×6/1

velocity=14ms-¹
