Well first the native americans wanted to have their own land. So they protected it, because they thought this land was for everyone to share, they went to the french and the english in particular, but mostly the frontier settler which combined form many europeans and a few colonists. answer: Native americans wanted to protect their land because they wanted a future for their nation and a place to call their own. Then the europeans and settlers because they wanted trade and money to help themselves and their country.
