First, we need to know the slope-intercept equation which is: Y=mx+b.

Where b, equals the y-intercept. Here, the y-intercept is -4, which is where the line touches the y. Next, we have to figure out the "m" in the equation, which is the slope. To figure out the slope, you have to choose 2 points on the graph and see how many "Rise" and "Runs" you have to do to go from one point to another. In this case, the slope is 8/3. So, we have the formula of y= 8/3x+-4

Hope this helps!

Marcy is making a hooked circle-shaped rug for her mother. The circumference of the circle-shaped rug is 75.36 inches. What is t
Nesterboy [21]
The area of the circular shaped rug would be 451.931, let me explain to you how I got this calculation.

First thing you have to do is know the formula to find the area of a circle. The formula is A=pie x Rsquared, but when you look at the information provided, you dont have the radius, so you have to find it yourself.

You probably noticed that since diameter is twice the radius, the proportion between circumference and diameter is equal to π: C/D = 2πR / 2R = π is the formula for the convertion of circumfrence to diameter.

Once you find the diameter, which should be rounded to 23.98, you will need to divide it by 2 for the radius which should give you approximatly 11.99.

Finally, you do the regular formula to find area which is A=pie x Rsquared. so you do 3.14 x (11.99 x 11.99)=451.931in.
