Answer:

In the last step of the scientific process when they compare their results.

Explanation:

The scientific process can be described of the following steps in order:

Starting with the observation, finding a point that asks a question which will be investigated, constructing a hypothesis that can be tested, testing the hypothesis and lastly comparing the results and starting over.

The example given in the question has a question to investigate, the students have a hypothesis. They test it and find out that the water sample can hold 20 amoeba which does not match their predictions. The students will check if their results match their predictions in the last step of the process when they compare their results with their hypothesis.

I hope this answer helps.

How do humans use their genes to produce more than 22,000 proteins?
Citrus2011 [14]
Dna, is all in the Dna. The Dna is made of adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine which codes for mrna. The mrna codes for amino acid and proteins are made of amino acids. In response to the gene, a gene is a basically a small part of dna in a certain order that codes for specific traits

How would the cycle be different if there were no water on earth?
Luda [366]

Answer:

What I expect would happen: First, there would be no clouds. Lack of clouds would mean there would be no rain and the average temperature of the Earth would increase, resulting in large areas of land becoming desert.

Explanation:

The water cycle is the process where water falls as rain, is transported via rivers and streams to lakes and oceans, evaporates into the sky, condenses into clouds, and falls as rain again. Here's a diagram:

water.usgs.gov

water.usgs.gov

So what would happen if there were no condensation stage?

The condensation stage is the one where water vapour gathers together into clouds (and when the clouds become heavy enough with vapour, release water as rain). So the first answer is that there would be no clouds.

Without clouds, I foresee a few things happening:

From clouds come rain. With no clouds, there would be no rain.

Clouds move moisture from lakes and oceans (where it evaporates up) to mountains and other places inland that spark rainfall. And so vast stretches of land would become desert.

Clouds reflect sunlight and help cool the Earth. With no clouds, the average temperature of the Earth would increase significantly.

And so to summarize what I expect would happen. First, there would be no clouds. Lack of clouds would mean there would be no rain and the average temperature of the Earth would increase, resulting in large areas of land becoming desert.

HELP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! ILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!
jasenka [17]

Answer:

A control variable is the variable in the experiment that does not change.

Explanation:

If you are testing how seeds grow in different types of water, and you add 1tbps of salt to one pot of water with the plant, and then added 2tbps to another pot of water with the plant. The control variable in this experiment would be the water with no salt because it was not altered.

FYI I did not pull from google. Good luck!
