Even though a lot of people might believe that her love for number was the main reason for her success but the truth is that her teacher's encouragement at a young age motivated her to push herself and be the best version of her. Additionally the teacher gave Jessica "increasingly complicated" work this slowly and steadily improved her math capabilities.  The motivation that she got at a young age and continued through her schooling years made her successful at math.
