Well actually the thing keeping it together is the strong nuclear force but that's not the point. The gravitational force is much weaker than electromagnetic force, the particles would be much more likely to float away from each other

How do modern scientist describe the make up of matter
lbvjy [14]

The matter is a collection or composition of extremely small particles called "Atoms".

Explanation:

 • The matter is anything that has mass and which utilizes space by having volume.
 • Modern scientists describe the makeup of matter as a collection of tiny substances called atoms.
 • Matter can either be in solid, liquid, or gaseous state and even appear in plasma form.
 • Matter can neither be created nor be destroyed but only transferred from one form to the other.
 • Atoms are composed protons, neutrons and electrons. The protons and neutrons are contained in the nucleus, while the electrons orbit around the nucleus of the atom.
 • Protons are positively charged, neutrons are neutral and electrons are negative.

AfilCa [17]

Answer:

20 N exerts no torque about the pivot.

14 N exerts a counterclockwise torque of 14 * .3 = .42 N-m

6 exerts a clockwise torque of 6 * .7 = .42 N-m

The meter stick will not turn because there is no net torque on the meter stick.

Find the power load P in kilowatts of an electrical circuit that takes a current I of 17 amperes at a voltage V of 320 volts if
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer: P = 5.44 KW

Explanation:

The formula for calculating power is expressed as

P = VI

where

v is the voltage

I is the current

From the information given,

v = 320

I = 17

Thus,

P = 320 x 17 = 5440 W

We would convert it to KW by dividing by 1000. It becomes

P = 5440/1000

P = 5.44 KW

An artillery shell is fired with an initial velocity of 300 m/s at 55.0° above the horizontal. It explodes on a mountainside 42.
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

x=7227

y=1678

(7227,1678)

Explanation:

Ok, check the picture I attached you, because of the problem don't give us aditional information, let's asume that the projectile is fired from an initial position x=0 and y=0. Now let's use projectile motion equations, but firs let's find the initial velocity components in x-axis and y-axis:

v_ox=v_o*cos(\theta_o)=300*cos(55)=172.0729309m/s

v_oy=v_o*sin(\theta_o)=300*sin(55)=245.7456133m/s

Now, let's find the x coordinate with this equation:

x-x_o=x-0=x=v_ox*t=172.0729309*42=7227.063098m

Finally asumming a gravity constant g=9.8, let's find the y coordinate with the next equation:

y-y_o=y-0=y=v_oy*t-\frac{1}{2}*g*t^{2} =(245.7456133*42)-\frac{42^{2} *9.8}{2}

y=10321.31576-8643.6=1677.71576m
