I will show you how to do first one but it is simple addition and subtraction.

7y + 5 + (3 - y)

We just combine like terms
7y - y + 5 + 3

6y + 8

I will do the second one for subtraction
5 + 5q - (3q - 9)

since the subtracroon sign is outsiDr patenthesis you have to apply it to both terms
5 + 5q - 3q + 9

since it was -9 it became --9 which is +9
so:
5q - 3q + 5 + 9

2q + 14

Which division problem does the model below show? 4 fraction bars. The fraction bars are labeled 1 and each have 6 boxes underne
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

4 divided by one-sixth = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 4fraction bars

If each fraction bars has 6boxes, then we can get the total boxes for 4fractiom bars as shown;

1 fraction bars = 6boxes

4fraction bars = x

Cross multiply

1 × x = 4×6

x = 4× 6/1

x = 4 ÷ 1/6

Hence the division problem that modelled the expression is 4 ÷ 1/6

4÷1/6 = 4×6/1

4÷1/6 = 24

Option A is correct

The points (0 1) and (1 4) are contained in the graph of an equation with only two variables x and y
Blababa [14]

The line that passes through (0 1) and (1 4) is a linear equation

The equation of the points is y = 3x + 1

How to determine the equation of the points?

The points are given as:

(x,y) = (0 1) and (1 4)

Start by calculating the slope (m)

m = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

So, we have:

m = (4 - 1)/(1 - 0)

Evaluate

m = 3

The equation is then calculated as:

y = m(x - x₁) + y₁

This gives

y = 3(x - 0) + 1

Evaluate the product

y = 3x + 1

Hence, the equation of the points is y = 3x + 1
