Nathan Alexander wants to purchase ears of corn for a family reunion picnic. A farmers’ market near his home offers six ears of

corn for $1.25, 12 ears of corn for $2.64, or 36 ears of corn for $7.20. Which is the best buy?

I think buying 36 ears of corn for $7.20 is the better buy. 6 ears of corn for $1.25 cost .20+ per ear of corn. Buying the 36 count buys them at an even .20. Plus he should have enough for everybody without having to worry about buying more.

WRITE 0,000003 56 IN SCIENTIFIC NOTATION
Elanso [62]

Answer:

3.56X10^-6

Step-by-step explanation:

In converting numbers to scientific notation, simply move the decimal point of the number until the numerical coefficient is greater than 1 but less than 10. Be sure to take note of the following:

1. The numerical coefficient.

2. Number of times we move the decimal point. It will be the exponent with the base of 10.

3. The direction we take in moving the decimal point. If the direction is to the right, take the negative sign for the exponent. If the direction is to the left, take the positive sign for the exponent.

Here, we move the decimal point of 0.00000356 to the right 6 times. So, we have now 3.56X10^-6.

Six friends each use a $2-off coupon to buy themselves a movie ticket. They spend a total of $42. What is the price of one movie
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

$9

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) First, divide 42 by 6 since there are six people and the total is $42.

42/6 = 7

2.) Now, add $2 to 7 since 7  was the price of the movie ticket AFTER the $2  were taken off of it

x = 7+2x=9

4.) So, one movie ticket (x) = $9

WILL MARK BRANLIEST IF GOTTEN RIGHT
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

There is not enough information to prove the congruence

Step-by-step explanation:

There is not enough information to prove the congruence because we would need to be given at least 3 equal elements (angles and sides) between the triangles. But in this problem we are only given the fact that 2 sides are equal in both triangles, which as I mentioned earlier is not enough.

The midpoint of GH is M( 6,-4). One endpoint is G(8,-2). Find the coordinates of endpoint H.
Finger [1]

Using the midpoint formula, the coordinates of endpoint H are (4, -6).

<h3>The Midpoint Formula</h3>

The midpoint formula is given as: (x_m, y_m) = (\frac{x_1 + x_2}{2}, \frac{y_1 + y_2}{2} )

<em>Where</em>,

(x_m, y_m) = coordinates of the midpoint

(x_1, y_1) = coordinates of the first point

(x_2, y_2) = coordinates of the second point

Given the following:

(x_m, y_m) = M( 6,-4)

(x_1, y_1) = G(8,-2)

(x_2, y_2) = H(?, ?)

Plug in the values into the midpoint formula

M(6, -4) = (\frac{8 + x_2}{2}, \frac{-2 + y_2}{2} )

Solve for the x-coordinate and y-coordinate separately

6 = \frac{8 + x_2}{2}

  • Multiply both sides

6 \times 2 = 8 + x_2\\\\12 = 8 + x_2\\\\12 - 8 = x_2\\\\4 = x_2\\\\\mathbf{x_2 = 4}

-4 = \frac{-2 + y_2}{2}\\\\-8 = -2 + y_2\\\\-8 + 2 = y_2\\\\-6 = y_2\\\\\mathbf{y_2 = -6}

Therefore, using the midpoint formula, the coordinates of endpoint H are (4, -6).
