I need help with my biology hm
lidiya [134]

Answer:

Okay let me break this down, so you have a pure red and pure white feathered chicken meaning that the chickens have homologous alleles. Overtime, as you breed the two you may get multicolored chickens but they can carry the recessive white feathers alleles (FWFW) meaning that they can still produce all white chickens and they can continuously do that over generations. Selective breeding may be negative because you may not get the desired result, you could breed for the wrong traits, other characteristics are lost and the resulting population is very similar. Less genetic variation can cause the chickens to not be resistant to problems like diseases and could fall ill.

Did you get the same blood pressure reading manually as you did with the use of probes? provide at least two reasons these value
Genrish500 [490]
Part I
NO, this is because of different judgement as to when pulse start/stops.
In addition, computers are more sensitive than probes, prob could be more accurate because it does not have human error, which manual method has. Other factors that affect the reading may include temperature, eating, body position among others.

Part II
The causes of changes in blood pressure that might occur within a given day include; stress and level of activity. Eating a flux of nutrients like sodium could affect the blood pressure. Also different requirements from the body . Therefore, if one is lying down versus when one is standing up, it might take more energy standing up, such that when one is relaxing lying down, blood pressure will be lower due to the relaxation.

Part III
What is needed to be kept constant through out the experiment is;
same person, same amount of time in between readings or for the readings, same pressure that is pumped at the beginning, same temperature.
It is important to keep all those factors constant because if not, the factors that are not iv's could change the data. keep the same person because data can change a lot based on who you use while retrieving the data.

Part IV
Prehypertension is the sign that one might have high blood pressure in the future. it is valuable to know if one is considered prehypertensive because one can implement proper changes to lifestyle in order to maintain a healthy blood pressure.

Part V
An ACE inhibitor works by blocking the body from producing angiotensin II which causes blood vessels to become narrower, raising blood pressure. This stops the chemical, thus relaxing the blood vessels and also lowering the blood pressure.

A mutation occurs such that a spliceosome cannot remove one of the introns in a gene. What effect will this have on that gene?
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Translation is the process by which protein product will form from the RNA molecule with the help of enzymes and protein. The three important process of translation are initiation, elongation and termination.

The mutation that prevent the removal of spliceosome from the intron, the introns will reside within the exons. The translation of this type of RNA a non dunctional protein product can be formed due to the insertion of the introns within the exon sequence.
