His direct efforts include the Federal Bird Reserve, an additional 23 National Parks, and the Act for the Preservation of American Antiquities. He set the bar for future presidents to preserve our history and resources.</span>

Poland was under the Warsaw Pact and therefore under the influence of the USSR. The USSR only allowed government sanctioned unions. Solidarity was created in opposition to communist and the lack of liberty found under USSR control.
