We have to find the INCORRECT statement from the given 4 choices.

Since the points of the given scatter plot lie mainly in a straight line we can conclude that there is a strong correlation between the car's value and the car's age.

Since the correlation is strong the the slope is negative, we can conclude that the correlation coefficient is close to -1.

The data does shows a negative linear relationship as the line is falling i.e. slope is negative.

The statement D is false. The explanatory variable is plotted along x-axis. So the variable along x-axis is Car's age in years not Cars value.

So the answer to this question is D.
