It looks like the first thing you have to find is their GCF, ya reckon ?

The factors of  56  are  1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 13, 28, and 56 .

The factors of  64  are  1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 .

The common factors are  1, 2, 4, and 8 .

The greatest one is  8 .

56/8 = 7
64/8 = 8

56  plus  64 = (8 times 7)  plus  (8 times 8)

56  plus  64 =  <u>8 times (7 plus 8)</u>    <== that's the answer

Check it out:

56  plus  64 = <u>120</u>

8 times (7 plus 8) = 8 times 15 = <u>120</u>    yay!

we have

56+64

Step 1

Find the GCF

we know that

56=2^{3} *7\\ the \ factors\ are=1,2,4,7,8,14,28,56

64=2^{6} \\ the \ factors\ are=1,2,4,8,16,32,64

The \ common\ factors\ are\  1, 2, 4, and\ 8 \\  The\ GCF is\ 8

Step 2

we know that

\frac{56}{8} =7\\ \\ \frac{64}{8} =8

(56+64)=(8*7)+(8*8)\\ (56+64)=8*(7+8)

therefore

the answer is

(56+64)=8*(7+8)

A rectangle is inscribed in a circle of radius r. If the rectangle is not a square, which of the following could be the perimete
evablogger [386]

Answer:

2r(\sqrt{3}+1)

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangle is inscribed in a circle of radius r.

Radius of the circle is 'r'  . the diameter of circle is 2 times radius is 2r

The diameter of the circle becomes the diagonal of the rectangle.

The one part of the rectangle forms a triangle with hypotenuse 2r

Triangle is a special 30:60:90 degree angle

the ratio of the special triangle is  1: \sqrt{3} :2

Hypotenuse is '2r' , so the ratio becomes

r: \sqrt{3}r :2r

So the width of the rectangle is 'r'  and length of the rectangle is \sqrt{3}r

Perimeter = 2 times length + 2 times width

perimeter = 2\sqrt{3} r+2r=2r(\sqrt{3}+1)

-8x2(x+8)=8(2+6) how do i solve this and 4n+3/2=2n-5/1?
Marat540 [252]

1) -8x^2\left(x+8\right)=8\left(2+6\right)

-8x^3-64x^2=64

-8x^3-64x^2-64=64-64

-8x^3-64x^2-64=0

-8x^2+0.97035\dots x-7.88051\dots \approx \:0

x\approx \:-8.12129\dots

2) 4n+\frac{3}{2}=2n-\frac{5}{1}

4n+\frac{3}{2}=2n-5

4n+\frac{3}{2}-\frac{3}{2}=2n-5-\frac{3}{2}

4n=2n-\frac{13}{2}

4n-2n=2n-\frac{13}{2}-2n

2n=-\frac{13}{2}

\frac{2n}{2}=\frac{-\frac{13}{2}}{2}

n=-\frac{13}{4}
