Answer:

Angle DAC is an exterior angle (because it son the exterior of the triangle) and idk the choices for the measure of Angle DAC are.... but i know that X is equal to 119 beacse that line its on makes a 180 degree line with 61. so 180-61 is equal to 119

Assign letters to all quantities that vary with time and any others that seem relevant to the problem. Give a definition for each letter.

2. Identify the rates of change that are known and the rate of change that is to be found. Interpret each rate as a derivative.

3. Find an equation that relates the variables whose rates of change were identified in Step 2. To do this, it will often be helpful to draw an appropriately labeled figure that illustrates the relationship.

4. Differentiate both sides of the equation obtained in Step 3 with respect to time to produce a relationship between the known rates of change and the unknown rate of change.

5. After completing Step 4, substitute all known values for the rates of change and the variables, and then solve for the unknown rate of change.Local Linear Approximation formulaf(x) ≈ f(x₀) + f'(x₀)(x - x₀)

What ordered pair would be located 5 units to the right on the x-axis?
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

(5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The ordered pair located 5 units to the right on the x axis is (5, 0) which indicates the x-location first (x = 5) and the y-location in the second coordinate (y = 0)

What is the value of a in the equation: a+23=38 and why?A.] 61, because to isolate a, you would add 23 and 38B.] 15 because to i
miskamm [114]

EXPLANATION

Given the equation:

a+23 = 38

Adding -23 to both sides will give us:

a= 38-23

a=15

Answer--> B. 15 because to isolate a, you would subtract 23 from 38.

In a billiards game, Pete hits a ball that is 20 in. from a wall. The ball travels 34 in. until it hits the wall and bounces to
Novosadov [1.4K]

Refer to the attached image,

Peter hits a ball that is 20 inch from a wall means AB=20 in

A ball travels 34 in until it hits the wall means AC=34 in

It bounces back to a position means CD = 'x' in (Say)

It bounces back to CD which is 16 in from the wall means DE=16 in

We have to calculate the value of 'x'.

Since, ball is reflected from point C. By law of reflection which states the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence.

So, \angle ACF=\angle FCD = y degrees (say)

Since angles BCF and FCE are right angles.

So, \angle BCA=\angle DCE = 90-y^\circ (equation 1)

Now, in triangle ABC and CDE

\angle B=\angle E (Each angle is right angle)

\angle BCA=\angle DCE (From equation 1)

Therefore, triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEC by AA similarity.

So, the ratio of corresponding sides are equal.

\frac{AB}{DE}=\frac{AC}{DC}

Substituting the values,

\frac{20}{16}=\frac{34}{x}

20x = 544

x = 27.2 in

Therefore, the distance, x, the ball traveled after it bounced off the wall to get to the ending position is 27.2 in

Minimum overall average for a grade of A is 90. Setting up the formula for this average results in:

76+99+86+s
----------------- = 90
          4

Then,   76+99+86+s = 360, and  261 + s = 360.  Solving for s, s = 99.
Thus, 99 is the lowest grade you'd have to earn to receive a grade of A in this course.

Expressed in interval notation, that 'd be [99,100].

Check: Does (76+99+86+99)/4 come out to 90? Yes.
