Volume of a sphere can be found by using the formula V=\frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3} where r is the radius of sphere.

Lianne drew a sphere with a radius of 7 in that is r= 7 in .she has written \frac{\pi}{3} and need to find what should be multiplied in numerator with pi.

V=\frac{4}{3}  \pi  r^{3}   =\frac{4\pi r^{3} }{3}   =\frac{\pi}{3}   (4 r^{3}  )

As r= 7 she needs to multiply numerator 4 r^{3} = 4 (7^{3)} =4(343) =1372

The number to be multiplied is 1372.

Determine whether each of these functions is O(x^2 ).
otez555 [7]

Answer:

  • (a)  no
  • (b)  yes
  • (c)  no
  • (d)  no

Step-by-step explanation:

"Of the order x^2" means the dominant behavior matches that of x^2 as x gets large. For polynomial functions, the dominant behavior is that of the highest-degree term.

For other functions, the dominant behavior will typically be governed in some other way. Here, the rate of growth of the x·log(x) function is determined by log(x), which has decreasing slope as x increases.

Only answer selection B has a highest-degree term of x^2, so only that one exhibits O(x^2) behavior.

J. Reexamine the sequence 20, 14, 8, 2, ... from the problem
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

The n th of the given sequence is t_{n} = 26-6 n

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1</u> :-

Given sequence is 20,14,8,2,.......this sequence in arithmetic progression but this sequence is decreasing sequence.

given first term is 20 and difference isd = second term- first term = 14-20=-6

now the nth term of given sequence is

by using formula t_{n}=a+(n-1)d

t_{n}= 20+(n-1)(-6)

t_{n}= 20-6 n+6

final answer:-

t_{n} = 26-6 n

<u>verification</u>:-

t_{n} = 26-6 n

put n=1 we get first term is 20

put n=2 we get second term is 14

put n=3 we get third term is 8

put n=4 we get fourth term is 2

so the n th term of sequence is

t_{n} = 26-6 n

A French restaurant used 92,870 ounces of cream last year. This year, due to a menu update, it used 100% less. How much cream di
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

<u>The French restaurant did not use cream this year, due to a menu update.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us to answer the question correctly:

Amount of cream used by a French restaurant last year = 92.870 ounces

Amount of cream used by the French restaurant this year = 100% less

2.  How much cream did the restaurant use this year?

The answer is zero and we calculated it this way:

92,870 - 100% (92,870) = 92,870 - 92,870 * 1 = 92,870 - 92,870 = 0

<u>The French restaurant did not use cream this year, due to a menu update.</u>

What is the nth term rule of the linear sequence below?
timurjin [86]

Answer:

T _{n} = a + (n - 1)d \\ T _{n} = 13 + (n - 1) \times - 6 \\ T _{n} = 13 - 6(n - 1) \\ T _{n} = 13 + 6(1 - n)
