importance of a probe
in hybridization process, molecular biologist label a short fragment of DNA or RNA, usually 10-1000 bases long tagged with a radioactive or fluorescent molecules. this fragment is usually referred to as hybridization probe.probe important both in southern and northern blotting processed because it is used to identify a certain sequence of DNA or RNA in a pool several sequences that have been obtained using nuclease.

process of labeling DNA sequence with a probe
after the DNA strand has been cut into several fragments using enzyme DNA nuclease, the fragments are separated using gel electrophoresis and then denatured using hcl to obtain strands. the single strand are then transferred to nylon membrane that has positive charge. the next step is where probes come in. to detect the DNA sequence of interest the nylon membrane is treated with solution containing tagged probes. since the probes have complementary sequence to the target sequence, it bind to that DNA sequence and detected later using X-ray film.

__________________ dating involves age-dating fossils with known time periods grouped into four eras that represent distinct age
RSB [31]

According to the research, the correct option is Relative dating. It involves age-dating fossils with known time periods grouped into four eras that represent distinct ages in the history of earth.

What is Relative dating?

It consists of ordering fossils or events in a proper formation sequence from the oldest to the most modern, it tends to be used as a method for making chronologies, the ordering of events, fossils or rocks.

Since it does not give an exact or approximate date, they can only give us a fairly long period of time, or in their case a temporal ordering of the fossils.

Therefore, we can conclude that according to the research, the correct option is Relative dating. It involves age-dating fossils with known time periods grouped into four eras that represent distinct ages in the history of earth.

Irina-Kira [14]
The appropriate response is active transport. Active transport is the development of particles over a cell layer from a district of their lower focus to a locale of their higher fixation—toward some inclination or another deterring factor.
Active transport utilizes cell vitality to move them against an angle, polar repugnance, or other resistance.
