Ribosomes are complex cell organelles, present in all living cells and provide site for protein synthesis. Ribosomes help in linking of amino acids with each other to form polypeptide chains or proteins in a specific manner, guided by messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules.
As ribosomes act as platform for protein synthesis, a cell with numerous ribosomes would be specialized for protein synthesis.
