Write a recursive decent algorithm for a java while statement, a Javas if statement , an logical/mathematical expression based o
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Using the knowledge in computational language in JAVA it is possible to write a code that recursive decent algorithm for a java while statement, a Javas if statement , an logical/mathematical expression.

<h3>Writting the code in JAVA:</h3>

<em>M ---> { S } ' # '</em>

<em>S ---> I | W | A | P | C | G</em>

<em>I ---> ' [ ' E ' ? ' { S } ' : ' { S } ' ] ' | ' [ ' E ' ? ' { S } ' ] '</em>

<em>W --- > ' { ' E ' ? ' { S } ' } '</em>

<em>A --- > lower-case ' - ' E ' ; '</em>

<em>P --- > ' < ' E ' ; '</em>

<em>G ---> ' ' . ' lower case ' ; '</em>

<em>C ---> ' < ' upper case ' ; '</em>

<em>E ---> T { ( ' + ' | ' - ' ) T }</em>

<em>T ---> U { ( ' * ' | ' / ' | ' % ' ) U }</em>

<em>U ---> F ' ^ ' U | F</em>

<em>F ---> ' ( ' E ' ) ' | lower case | digit</em>

<em>Here "lower-case" stands for a single lower-case letter, and "upper-case" stands for a single upper-case letter. For a more colorful grammar (in a slightly different form), see colorful grammar.</em>

<em>This grammar (and the language it defines) may look a little strange, but it was designed to have only single-character tokens. In particular it doesn't have any reserved words (key words), though in a sense the upper-case letters are reserved.</em>

<em>Just to help with understanding, here is the intuitive meaning of each of the above non-terminals:</em>

<em>SYMBOL MEANING</em>

<em>M Main Program</em>

<em>S Statement</em>

<em>I If-Then-[Else] Statement</em>

<em>W While Statement</em>

<em>A Assignment Statement</em>

<em>P Put or Print (integer)</em>

<em>C Print Character</em>

<em>G Get (integer)</em>

<em>E Expression (logical or arith)</em>

<em>T Termi</em>

<em>U </em>

<em>F Factor</em>

Consider the classes below:
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

Hi!

The correct answer is d. Neither (a) nor (b) is true.

Explanation:

First, you have to know what the scripts intend to do, and they are counting from 1 to 10 in both cases.

Table of results of class TestA at end of each iteration:

[j = 0,  counter =  1]

[j = 10,  counter =  2]

[j = 20,  counter =  3]

[j = 30,  counter =  4]

[j = 40,  counter =  5]

[j = 50,  counter =  6]

[j = 60,  counter =  7]

[j = 70,  counter =  8]

[j = 80,  counter =  9]

[j = 90,  counter =  10]

Table of results of class TestB at end of each iteration:

[j = 10,  counter =  1]

[j = 9,  counter =  2]

[j = 8,  counter =  3]

[j = 7,  counter =  4]

[j = 6,  counter =  5]

[j = 5,  counter =  6]

[j = 4,  counter =  7]

[j = 3,  counter =  8]

[j = 2,  counter =  9]

[j = 1,  counter =  10]

That's why a) and b) are false.

Maybe you want to know why using pre increments on class TestB doesn't affect the loop. The reason is that when enters in a loop, first checks the test condition and takes the decision if true or false, and last executes the incrementation step.

Which of the case studies that you read (Walmart, Target or 5 Big Data Industries) caught your attention and why? Before reading
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

Walmart has caught my attention many times, and definitely when I was reading a case study on it recently. The data that they have collected is from all over the world, and probably the most well planned as it originates from some very high level and good analytics, awesome queries and various other heterogeneous sources. And they have a very unique way of using this data. Being an Engineer however myself, I have studied Data warehousing and Data mining in detail as well as Machine learning. And Walmart first collects the data using Data warehousing, and then it cleans it using the statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and statistics, and finally makes a model using the machine learning. They call it all together Data science, and the collected data is being termed as big data, and it has all typos of data which includes images, text, video, sound, animations, and all. Apart from Walmart, you can think of all the social media sites, e-commerce sites, and a lot more.  All are using the data warehousing, data mining and Machine learning all together.

Explanation:

The answer is self explanatory.

Alisiya [41]

The operating system controls the overall activity of the computer and furnishes services such as memory management, input/output activities, and storage management.

<h3>What is operating system?</h3>

An operating system (OS) is the programme that controls all other application programmes in a computer after being installed into the system first by a boot programme. Through a specified application programme interface, the application programmes seek services from the operating system (API).

It controls the memory, operations, software, and hardware of the computer. You can converse with the computer using this method even if you don't understand its language. A computer cannot function without an operating system.

An operating system performs three primary tasks: managing the computer's resources, including the CPU, memory, disc drives, and printers; creating a user interface; and running and supporting application software.

Hence, The operating system controls the overall activity of the computer and furnishes services such as memory management, input/output activities, and storage management.
