Answer

Find out the how many plants will be in each row.

To prove

Let us assume that the number of plants in each row be x.

As given

Gavin buys 89 blue pansies and 86 yellow pansies

he will plant the flowers in 5 rows with an equal number of plants in each row.

Total number of flowers Gavin buys = 89 + 86

                                                              = 175

The number of plants in each row

x = \frac{175}{5}

x = 35

Therefore the number of plants in each row be 35 .

The Answer is 35 because if you divide 89 by 5 it gives you 17.8 and 86 by 5 gives you 17.2. When you round 17.2 it is still 17 and 17.8 is 18. And 17+18=35

35*5=175

89+86=175

9|4/3x-2| + 7 = 7
Please help!
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

x = 3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression

9|4/3x-2| + 7 = 7

First note that the value in parenthesis can both be negative and positive;

For the positive value, we have;

9(4/3x-2) + 7 = 7

9(4/3x-2) + 7 - 7 = 7 - 7

9(4/3x-2) = 0

Open the bracket

9(4/3x) - 9(2) = 0

36/3 x - 18 = 0

12x = 18

x = 18/12

x = 3/2

For the negative value;

9(-(4/3x-2)) + 7 = 7

9(-4/3x+2) + 7 - 7 = 7 - 7

9(-4/3x+2) = 0

Open the bracket

9(-4/3x) + 9(2) = 0

-36/3 x + 18 = 0

-12x = -18

x = 18/12

x = 3/2

Hence the value of x is 3/2

5/8 as a decimal with work
Paul [167]

Answer:

0.625

Step-by-step explanation:

Fractions are another way to show two numbers being divided. The top number of the fraction (numerator) is divided by the bottom number (denominator).

In this case, it would be 5 divided by 8.

This equals 0.625, making 0.625 your answer.
