When the level of sodium in the human blood is below 135 mmol/L, then such person is said to have hyponatremia. One of the major causes of this condition is having excess water relative to solute in the body, which may be as a result of excess of prolonged exercise and drinking large volumes of water. This results in some form of malfunctioning of the kidney in its regulation of the amount of sodium in the blood.
In medicine, hyponatremia refers to a medical condition where there's a low level of sodium in the blood.
One of the main causes for hyponatremia is having prolonged periods of exercise (and therefore sweating a lot) combined with drinking large volumes of water without electrolytes. Because of the sweating and the large volumes of water, the kidneys start malfunctioning and they can't regulate the amounts of sodium properly.

Marcy should not do it. Supplements don't make you lose weight, they make you lose fat, something your body needs. Excersising would be way healthier for her than supplements.
