C

A stop codon a 3 nucleotide sequence that terminates translation of protein in the translation complex (made of ribosome, mRNA, and tRNA). Remember translation is divided into; initiation , elongation, & termination

Explanation:

There are 3 stop codons on the mRNA that terminate translation and do not code for any amino acids. They are; UAG, UAA, and UGA. When translated to DNA code they are; ATC, ATT, and ACT respectively. Remember that RNA has no thymine base and in its pace is Uracil. Also that the stop codons on DNA and complementary to the template section on which they were transcribed.

What was known before Franklin and Wilkins conducted their studies of DNA? Check all that apply. DNA is found in the nucleus of
kvasek [131]

Answer:

The correct answer will be-

   1. DNA is found in the nucleus of a cell

    2. Organisms store and transmit genetic information

    3. Cells contain protein molecules.

Explanation:

The study of DNA started much before the discoveries of Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins.

Nucleus of cell was discovered by Robert Brown in 1831 but the material present inside the nucleus called "nuclein" (DNA) came from the studies of Johann Friedrich Miescher in 1869.

Proteins as a constituent of cell were discovered by the experimental analysis of Gerhardus Johannes Mulder in 1837.

DNA as a genetic material came from the experimental studies of Frederick Griffith in 1928, Oswald Avery, Maclyn McCarty, and Colin MacLeod in 1944, and Hershey and Chase in 1952.

Franklin and Maurice Wilkins are known for their work on the the structure of DNA as they were able to produce high-resolution X-ray photographs of DNA fibres called Photo 51 in 1952 using X-ray diffraction technique. By 1953 Franklin concluded concluded that DNA shows helical structure with phosphates on outer side.

Thus, 1. DNA is found in the nucleus of a cell

         2. Organisms store and transmit genetic information

         3. Cells contain protein molecules.

             are the correct options.

Give an example of temporal isolation and explain how temporal isolation is preventing reproduction within the population.
bonufazy [111]

Various cicada species erupt to reproduce at various times. A prime example of temporal isolation is this. The frog species Rana aurora and Rana boylii exhibit temporal isolation as a result of variations in seasonal breeding. Although both species live in the same geographic areas, their mating seasons are different.

<h3>What is temporal isolation ?</h3>

When many species reproduce at various periods, there is a condition known as temporal isolation. Three different orchid species, for instance, coexist in the same rain forest. Every species contains flowers that only bloom for a single day and need to be pollinated on that day in order to generate seeds.

  • Due to differences in fertility or mating timing, such as having various mating seasons, species cannot interbreed due to temporal isolation. Due to different mating practises or rituals, behavioural isolation prevents species from interbreeding.

Why is it important to track our carbon and ecological footprint?.
igomit [66]

Answer:

The carbon footprint is a very important means to understand the impact of a person's behavior on global warming. This is why someone who effectively wants to contribute to stopping global warming, at least on an individual scale, needs to measure and keep track of their personal carbon footprint.
