Answer:

The answer is cosmic background radiation.

Explanation:

Background cosmic radiation is defined as the energy left over from the Big Bang, which produced the origin of the universe. This prediction was made by physicist George Gamow, Robert C. Herman, and Ralph A. Alpher.

Background cosmic radiation was first detected by radio astronomers Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson. The Big Bang theory predicted a specific characteristic of cosmic background radiation, which must be the spectrum of a body being in thermodynamic equilibrium. Through the COBE satellite it was possible to measure the spectrum of the cosmic background radiation and it was determined that this radiation is the same as the theory predicts.

Use the following key to classify each of the elements below in its elemental form:
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

Magnesium - Metallic lattice

Nitrogen - Molecules

Lithium - Metallic lattice

Potassium - Metallic lattice

Explanation:

Metals exist in metallic lattices. In this lattice, metal ions are held together with a sea of electrons by strong electrostatic forces.

All metals possess this metallic lattice, hence; potassium, lithium and magnesium all consist of metal lattices.

Nitrogen is a nonmetal and consists of molecules of N2.

All of the following contribute to the large, negative, free-energy change upon hydrolysis of "high-energy" compounds except: a.
klasskru [66]

Answer:

C) low activation energy of forward reaction

Explanation:

Activation energy for the forward reaction is the quantity of free energy which is needed for a reaction to move from the reactant phase of energy level to the transition state of energy level. The higher the rate of energy level, the slower the chemical reaction.

Activation energy is a barrier that must be overcome for a reaction to take place.
