Hey there!

The answers here are given in a <em>really, really useful</em> formula called point-slope form. It's exactly what it sounds like- you need a point on the line and the slope to write the formula, and from there you can convert it to slope intercept or standard forms.

It's written in this form:

y - y1 = m(x-x1)

Where m means the slope and y1 is the y value and x1 is the x value of the point. You keep the x and y there. That means, with a point of (3, 10) and a slope of 2, we have:

y - 10 = 2(x - 3)

Your answer is B :)

Hope this helps!

Answer:

<u>390.4 in.²</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Area of sector = πr² x θ/360
  • Area = 22/7 x 64 x 70/360
  • Area = 11 x 10 x 32 x 1/9
  • Area = 320 x 11/9
  • Area = 320 x 1.22
  • Area = <u>390.4 in.²</u>

Lynna [10]

Answer:

\boxed{\sf d. \ \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{10}{7}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\sf \implies \dfrac{a - b}{b}  =  \dfrac{3}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  -  \frac{b}{b}  =  \frac{3}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  - 1 =  \frac{3}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  - 1 + 1 =  \frac{3}{7}  + 1 \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{3}{7}  + 1 \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{3}{7}  +  \frac{7}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{3 + 7}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \implies  \frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{10}{7}

Consider each equation. is it the equation of the line that is parallel or perpendicular to y=3x+2? Select yes or no for a-c
Mkey [24]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = 3x + 2 is in this form with slope m = 3

• Parallel lines have equal slope

• The slopes of perpendicular lines are negative reciprocals of each other

A

y = - \frac{1}{3} x - 8 has slope m = - \frac{1}{3}

3 and - \frac{1}{3} are negative reciprocals

This line is perpendicular to y = 3x + 2

B

y = 3x - 10 has slope m = 3

This line is parallel to y = 3x + 2

C

y = 2x + 4 has slope m = 2

This line is neither parallel nor perpendicular to y = 3x + 2
