Hey there!

The answers here are given in a really, really useful formula called point-slope form. It's exactly what it sounds like- you need a point on the line and the slope to write the formula, and from there you can convert it to slope intercept or standard forms.

It's written in this form:

y - y1 = m(x-x1)

Where m means the slope and y1 is the y value and x1 is the x value of the point. You keep the x and y there. That means, with a point of (3, 10) and a slope of 2, we have:

y - 10 = 2(x - 3)

Your answer is B :)

Hope this helps!

Create and solve a linear equation that represents the model, where circles and a square are shown evenly balanced on a balance
Maslowich

A linear equation that represents the model is: x + 6 = 10; x = 4

How to solve linear equations?

Let us first define the variables based on the attached image of the ball balance:

Let x = number of balls that contains the square.

On the left side, we have; square + 6 balls

On the right side, we have; 10 balls

To balance this, we have;

x + 6 = 10

x = 10-6

x = 4

Thus, a linear equation that represents the model is:

x + 6 = 10; x = 4

The polygon ABCD was rotated 60° about point P as shown.
Genrish500 [490]
The answer is B.1/6 turn counterclockwise. why? well it is moving to the left and the clock moves to the right not the the left so that means it is counter clockwise. now to find out if it is 1/3 or 1/6 the circle has 360 degrees, and we already moved 60 so how much is 60 from 360 divide to find out 360/60=6. and since it is only one part it is 1/6 so B is your answer.
