It would be -9 because all u need to do is check to see which number is bigger the 11 or 20. So 20 is bigger and the -20 ur going to take the negative sign and it’s going to be in your answer so u know that the answer is a negative number. The 11 is positive and the 20 is negative so you start with 11 and count down 20 to get -9

7nadin3 [17]

Hi there! Hopefully this helps!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<h2>Answer: \boxed{21}</h2><h2 /><h2>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</h2>

When you multiply two negatives (-, -,), you are gonna get a positive(+)

<em>[Like making a cross out of two lines].</em>

-3(-7) = +3(+7)

<h2>Since 3(7) normally <u>equals 21</u>, that would be the answer for this case.</h2>

Jason correctly graphed an inequality as shown below
sattari [20]
4 < = x + 4 < = 8.....subtract 4 from all sections
4 - 4 < = x + 4 - 4 < = 8 - 4...simplify
0 < = x < = 4

this would produce a number line with a solid circle on 0 and a solid circle on 4, with shading in between....just like the graph shown in the picture u posted.

so the expression u would add would be : x + 4

Mrs. Ross needs to buy dish soap. There are four differently sized containers. Sort the brands from least to the greatest unit p
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer: Spotless soap < Bright wash < Lemon bright < lot of suds

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that 8 oz of Lots of suds cost = $0.98

Then unit price of 1 lot of suds = 0.98/8 = $0.1225

Given that 12 oz of Bright wash cost = $1.29

Then unit price of 1 Bright wash = 1.29/12 = $0.1075

Given that 30 oz of Spotless soap cost = $3.14

Then unit price of 1 Spotless soap = 3.14/30 = $0.104666666667

Given that 32 oz of Lemon bright cost = $3.50Then unit price of 1 Lemon bright = 3.50/32 = $0.109375

We also need to round the values to the nearest thousandth means three digits after decimal

Then unit price of 1 lot of suds = $0.123

unit price of 1 Bright wash = $0.108

unit price of 1 Spotless soap = $0.105

unit price of 1 Lemon bright = $0.109

Now we can easily sort them

0.105 < 0.108 < 0.109 < 0.123

respective names in sorted order are:

Spotless soap < Bright wash < Lemon bright < lot of suds

You want to calculate the displacement of an object thrown over a bridge. Using -10 m/s^2 for acceleration due to gravity, what
MrRissso [65]

<u>Answer</u>

<em>The total displacement of the object is 320 m</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

From the formulas of mechanics,

s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^{2}

Where,

s = displacement

u = initial velocity = 0               ( ∵ As the body was in rest in the beginning )

t = time taken = 8 s

a = acceleration = -10 m/s²      ( ∵ -ve is because of the downward motion)

Putting all the values,

s= 0 \times 8 + \frac{1}{2}(-10)8^{2} = -320 \ m ( ∵ -ve displacement means it is in downwards)

Mary has 15 points with the total value of $1.75 if the coins are nickels and quarters how many of each kind are there
torisob [31]

Answer:

The number of nickel coins is 10 and the number of quarter coins is 5

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The correct question is</em></u>

Mary has 15 coins with the total value of $1.75 if the coins are nickels and quarters how many of each kind are there

Let

x ----> the number of nickel coins

y ----> the number of quarter coins

Remember that

1\ nickel=\$0.05

1\ quarter=\$0.25

we know that

Mary has 15 coins

so

x+y=15 -----> equation A

The total value of the coins is $1.75

so

0.05x+0.25y=1.75 ----> equation B

Solve the system by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

using a graphing tool

The solution is the point (10,5)

therefore

The number of nickel coins is 10 and the number of quarter coins is 5
