The satellite IS falling.  But it's also moving 'sideways'.
As it falls, the surface of the Earth also falls away, so
the satellite winds up going around.

A solid conducting sphere with radius R = 0.390 m carries a net charge of +0.650 nC.
Tom [10]

Answer:

38.5 N/C

Explanation:

The electric field generated by a charged sphere at a point outside the sphere is equivalent to the electric field generated by a single point charge, and it is given by

E=k\frac{Q}{r^2}

where

k=9\cdot 10^9 Nm^2C^{-2} is the Coulomb's constant

Q is the net charge

r is the distance from the centre of the sphere

In this problem, we have

Q=+0.650 nC=0.65\cdot 10^{-9}C

r=0.390 m

Substituting into the equation, we find

E=(9\cdot 10^9)\frac{(0.65\cdot 10^{-9}C)}{(0.390m)^2}=38.5 N/C

Would you be doing more work going up the stairs twice as fast?
SSSSS [86.1K]
If you use the stairs at normal speed, you will survive longer, and go up higher.
When going up the stairs twice as fast, you lose energy more quickly, but height would remain the same.

Pachacha [2.7K]
This is because AC is easier to transform from a higher voltage to another, lower voltage, using transformers. High voltage means less <span>resistive losses in the power lines during transmission. This is why power is transmitted at many hundreds of thousands of volts and is only transformed into 110V or 220V near the consumers. </span>

What is the momentum of a volleyball with a velocity of 50 mph and a mass of .5 kg?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
The formula for momentum is p=mv (mass multiplied by velocity), so in this problem, p=50(.5)=25=p or in other words, momentum.
