Answer:

B. 4.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the are similar quadrilaterals, their side lengths are in proportion to each other.

Look at the letter ordering, ABCD   and EFGH,   the represent corresponding points in the quadrilateral, so

BC and FG are the same corresponding side of the quadrilateral.  For the first quadrilateral, A is the first letter, B is the second. In the second quadrilateral, E is the first letter, and F is the second.  A corresponds to E, and B corresponds to F.  The rest of the letters correspond the same way

as are CD and GH

So we have a proportion, "CD is to GH as BC is to FG"

We have values for all sides in our proportion except FG, so plug them in...

CD =4, GH = 6, BC = 3 and FG is unknown,

4/6 = 3/FG

Solve for FG by cross-multiplying (here FG is one variable)

4FG = 18

  FG = 18/4

     FG = 4.5

Rasek [7]

Answer:

A  40

Step-by-step explanation:

We can find angle K

J + K + L = 180  The angles of a triangle add to 180

50 + K + 90 =180

140 +K = 180

Subtract 140 from each side

140-140 + K = 180-140

K = 40

Since the triangles are congruent

J = P

K = N

L = M

We want to find N

K = N = 40

K = N

If u(x) = x5 – x4 + x2 and v(x) = –x2, which expression is equivalent to (u/v)(x)
choli [55]

Answer:

c) -x^3 + x^2 - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: u (x) = x^5 - x^4 +x^2 and v(x) = -x^2

(u/v)(x) = u(x)/v(x)

Now plug in the given functions in the above formula, we get

= (x^5 - x^4 + x^2) / -x^2

We can factorize the numerator.

In x^5 - x^4 + x^2. the common factor is x^2, so we can take it out and write the remaining terms in the parenthesis.

= x^2 (x^3 - x^2 + 1) / - x^2

Now we gave x^2 both in the numerator and in the denominator, we can cancel it out.

(u/v)(x) = (x^3 - x^2 + 1) / -1

When we dividing the numerator by -1, we get

(u/v)(x) = -x^3 + x^2 - 1

Answer: c) -x^3 + x^2 - 1

Hope you will understand the concept.

Thank you.

The sum of 32,476 and a number P is divided by 381, the quotient is 100 and remainder is zero. Find the number P.
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

p = 5,624

Step-by-step explanation:

(32,476 + p) / 381 = 100

multiply both sides by 381

32,476 + p = 38,100

Subtract 32476 from both sides

p = 5,624
