If p= 38
You need four sides to equal that
11 is length so that means two sides are 11
11+11= 22
So that means you need two more equal numbers that will finish making up the 22
38-22= 16
But two sides make up 16
16 divides by 2 is 8
So THE WIDTH IS 8

The perimeter of a rectangle is the boundary of a rectangle.
38 = 11 + 11 + ? + ?
16 = ? + ?
Each side added up equals 16. Since the sides are congruent, each side equals 8 feet! :)

Find the value of x
12
5
X
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

x = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that the side length x is opposite of the right angle, which means that it is the hypotenuse, which will usually be denoted as c.

Set the equation:

a² + b² = c²

let:

a = 5

b = 12

c = x

Plug in the corresponding numbers (& x) to the corresponding variables:

(5)² + (12)² = (x)²

Simplify. First, solve for the power, and then add:

x² = (5²) + (12²)

x² = (5 * 5) + (12 * 12)

x² = 25 + 144

x² = 169

Next, root both sides of the equation:

√x² = √169

x = √169 = √(13 * 13) = 13

x = 13

~

Note the rules, and it should be easier:

30-60-90° = 1 , √3 , 2

45-45-90° = 1 , 1 , √2

Any other measurements use the equation: a² + b² = c²

First, you must find the width of GHJK. Since the area of it is 84m², divide 84 by 7.
84÷7=12
So the width of GHJK is 12m.
Next, find the scale of GHJK to LMNP. Since the height of both are already available, you can divide 21÷7 to get 3
This means that to get the width of LMNP you must multiply the width of GHJK by 3.
12×3=36.
Now, to get the area of LMNP, multiply 21 by 36.

21×36=756

So, the area of LMNP is 756m². (Don't forget the units!>

Which equation models a line that passes through point (-2,2) And has a slope of -8
trasher [3.6K]

So we will be using y=mx+b form, in which m = slope and b = y-intercept. Since we know the slope (-8), all we need to do is solve for the y-intercept. We can do this by inserting (-2,2) into the equation and solve for b.

2=-8(-2)+b

Firstly, do the multiplication: 2=16+b

Next, subtract 16 on both sides, and your answer will be -14 = b

Using the previous info we have, our equation is y = -8x - 14
