A merchant buys a television for $125 and sells it for a retail price of $200. What is the markup
beks73 [17]
The markup is the percent of the original price that it is increased by. To determine the percentage marked up, you will subtract the new price and the original price, and then divide that by the original price.

200-125=$75

75/200=0.375 or 37.5% markup.

Which figure has the same area as the parallelogram shown below? A. A triangle with a base of 4 mm and a height of 20 mm B. A tr
Arisa [49]
<h2>Answer:  A trapezoid with bases of 6 mm and 14 mm and a height of 8 mm </h2>

The parallelogram in the figure has an area of 80mm^{2}, according to the following formula, which works for all rectangles and parallelograms:

A_{parallelogram}=(b)(h)   (1)

Where b is the base and h is the height

The<u> area of a triangle</u> is given by the following formula:

A_{triangle}=\frac{1}{2}(b)(h)   (2)

So, for option A:

A_{triangle}=\frac{1}{2}(4mm)(20mm)=40mm^{2} \neq 80mm^{2}

Now, the <u>area of a trapezoid </u>is:

A_{trapezoid}=\frac{1}{2}(b_{1}+ b_{2})(h)   (3)

For option B:

A_{trapezoid}=\frac{1}{2}(15mm+25mm)(2 mm)=40mm^{2} \neq 80mm^{2}

For option C:

A_{trapezoid}=\frac{1}{2}(6mm+14mm)(8 mm)=80mm^{2}>>>>This is the correct option!

For option D:

A_{rectangle}=(30mm)(8mm)=240mm^{2} \neq 80mm^{2}

<h2>Therefore the correct option is C</h2>

Please someone help me solve this i dpnt know the answer
kozerog [31]
<h2><u>Answer With Explanation:</u></h2>

<u>Firstly, let's start with <XOZ: =55°</u>

We know that <ZOQ is 70° and angles on a line add up to 180° so we do 180-70=110 110 divided by 2 = 55 so the 2 angles (XOZ & XOP are 55)

<u>Secondly, <OMN, <MON & <ONM = All are 60°</u>

These 2 angles are joined to create an equilateral triangle which always adds up to 180°

So, there are 3 points to this triangle, therefore we divide 180 by 3 which is 60. The angles are 60°

<u>Thirdly, <QON: =55°</u>

This angle lies on the line XON which needs to add up to 180°

As we worked out before, <XOZ was 55°

So, <ZOQ was already given as 70°

We then do 55+70=125 then 180-125=55°

<QON is 55°
